The Submissive (The Submissive Series Book 1)

You need this now. Yesterday. Back in 2012.
There is a reason that the original of something is always better and Tara Sue Me shows us why. Nathaniel and Abby’s love is evident from the beginning even while Nathaniel tries to hide his emotions. Hard sex and verbal sparring made me knees weak and my heart swoon.[I was honestly a little bit pissed off and my love for fifty shades slipped another notch when I realized how many familiar concepts I was reading, knowing that this book came out before fifty shades. I’m not saying that to dissuade you from your love of fifty, but COME ON. Regardless, THE SUBMISSIVE is extremely well written and I actually loved BOTH characters. In the first book. It’s a masterful *cough* concept, I know.]This book will flip your mind around about the way a Dom should treat his sub. It’s a completely consensual power struggle that Abby desires and Nathaniel craves. Abby hasn’t lived in the lifestyle before, and she has no desire to be a sub to anyone other than Nathaniel, but she knows that she needs to submit, and she knows that she wants to do that with Nathaniel. She sees that he looks impassive and unfeeling, but she knows that his heart is pure and good. The stars align and Abby finds herself in Nathaniel’s high rise office begging, in the only the way that a submissive can, to be his sub. Nathaniel’s not exactly interested in training a green sub, but there’s something about Abby that he can’t stay away from. There are ups and downs, as you’d expect, but Abby has a backbone and she’s not afraid to use it. LOVED THAT.This story is full of so much kinky deliciousness that will have you thankful that Amazon doesn’t judge when you one-click the hell out of those butt plugs. I absolutely adored the way that Nathaniel treated Abby. He constantly cares for her, even though he’s clearly trying not to care too much for her. Silly man. Abby’s pretty much a goner for him at the very first utterance of ‘Sir’. Naked picnics, super bowl sex (holy mother of f@-k that was hot), and snow days only increase the need that develops between them both. There is so much sex in this book it’s surprising that they each work, but I was totally not complaining. I mean, there’s library sex. LIBRARY SEX. I was already addicted to this series, but the library sex made reading this series a compulsion. Sprinkled between the erotic trysts is a substantial amount of romance and banter that solidified my love for Nathaniel and had me smiling like a lunatic. If you haven’t read this series yet, and you like BDSM play, you need this now. Yesterday. Back in 2012.I love this series so hard! #MustRead. #SmutClassic.

Entertaining
This book was my introduction into the erotic world of Tara Sue Me. I initially read this book in February 2015 but did not review it. I became an instant fan and have devoured each subsequent book. These characters are so rich, multilayered, dynamic and charismatic. Their stories are so well written you can easily immerse yourself in them. Pure reading entertainment!Abigail King is about to enter a world she's longed for. The world of Dominance and submission. Nathaniel West is Dom through and through but taking on an untrained sub is something that he doesn't do. He fulfills her longing with his Dominance as he trains her and despite her inexperience she pleases him greatly. However he remains somewhat aloof while she is definitely falling big time for him.

I can say that by reading this book I can tell that Nathaniel didn't expect to fall in love during this whole submissive relationship because he came off ...
All i have to say was that this book was very interesting and very well written, I can say that by reading this book I can tell that Nathaniel didn't expect to fall in love during this whole submissive relationship because he came off strong and very hard and at times very not friendly. But as for abby she didn't mind not one bit because to her she was getting her dreams come truth by having to spend time with nathaniel something that she have always wanted and to her she was falling for Nathaniel really hard and fast because with her seems to enjoy every lesson he had given her expect the seen where she had to get on the whipping bench for the first time and i think it had scared a bit but after she was with the experience i think that she had enjoyed a little bit more than her liking. But I think that once Elaina had found out who abby was to nathaniel she wasn't shocked at all nor was she judgmental about it to abby because i think that abby was expecting her to be a little judgmental like Felicia was in the beginning. But I think that once abby had gotten into the car accident i think that is when Nathaniel feelings for abby started to change like he had falling in love with her but he didn't know how to tell her except for letting her go so easily and i think once abby finally used her safe word in left that when he realized he was in love with abby and as for Felicia she had finally come around to liking nathaniel once she realized how much her best friend abby had falling in love with him and felicia her self finally got her happy ending.

Wonderful Read
I got this book in over last weekend and I literally couldn’t put it down when I started it. I was engrossed in the vivid imagery and details of it all. It’s not a very thick book and chapters are only a few pages long so if you read rather fast you are going to want the complete trilogy or you will be waiting for the others to come in as I am. Withdrawals to say the least until I get the Dominant in. I rather liked the fact that Abby was the one who sought out Nathaniel. She read over his contract of what he expected as did he do the same with her soft limits and hard limits. Everything was put on the table before anything physical ever occurred. Great book!

The Submissive: The Submissive Series
I have read The Submissive before but it must have been before I started leaving written reviews. This book has been on my Kindle since August 2013. Let me just say that I enjoyed this book just as much as the last time. I am trying to get ready to review the latest book in The Submissive Trilogy. Although, I think this has turned into The Submissive Series because there are many more books than a Trilogy. This is Nathaniel & Abigail's story. I feel that you can read the synopsis yourself and that the author does a great job giving you just the right part of the book so no need for me to repeat the story.I love Tara Me Sue's writing style! I have the next book in this series on my Kindle and I actually have the audiobook so I will let you know how I like the next story and the audio. This book was not an ARC and I give it 4.5 stars. I am looking forward to starting on the Dominant as soon as I finish writing this ARC.

It's a no from me...
I hate leaving negative reviews. I think the only other time I felt compelled enough to leave one was for 50 Shades of Grey. Having read this, 50 suddenly seems like a much, much better story. And I hated it!I read a lot of romance/erotica, so I'd like to think I'm not leaving this review out of ignorance for the genres. I'm able to mould a firm, honest opinion. The Submissive is poorly written, to say the least. The story lacks any depth and it moves very, very quickly. So quickly that you're left scrambling. It's not believable, the characterisation is sparse throughout and the sex scenes lack punch. It's bland, it's boring and finishing it felt like a bit of a chore. There are much, much better books of a similar vein on the market right now. My advice? Leave this one and pick up something else. I don't know, maybe I've read so much of the genre that I'm now a bit desensitised to it and my expectations are too high. Perhaps if this was the first 'nooorty' book I'd ever picked up, I'd be feeling hot under the collar and blushing like a sinner in church! As it is, it gets a big fat MEH from me.

I Loved Every Bit!
Initially when I was recommended this book I thought it was just another take on the Fifty Trilogy as both stories began as an online fan fiction from the Twilight series. So I began with slight apprehension. The story tells of Abigail King, a twenty something college girl that is looking to be considered as the next Submissive for Nathanial West, a prominent CEO in New York. The first chapter describes their first meeting; I was quickly eager to learn more. This young lady wants this lifestyle and the reason why begins to draw you in.Nathanial is a commanding Dominant and essentially is everything you'd expect at the beginning. The sex scenes are written well and can get the heart racing which I will admit is a bonus. The attraction and flirtation between the two soon become infectious and you soon realise you're reading it just to find out whether they do progress to more than the Dom/Sub relationship.I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, and have recommended to friends. The idea that it is the young lady seeking out this lifestyle is refreshing and that Nathanial is not your typical rich man with a dark secret means you're just waiting to understand what it is that sets her apart from his other Subs.I am looking forward to `The Dominant' part 2 of this story due in Feb as it is written from Nathanial's point of view. Definitely one to look out for.

A great erotic read
From niccis book blogI had to read this book in one sitting, couldnt put it down the story is gripping. This book is so well written, Abigial is such a great character you feel her desires, her wants, her emotions.Nathaniel believes himself to be cold and without a heart he keeps himself detached and uses his dominant side to cover the fact that no can have his heart. The BDSM aspect of the story wasnt gone into in great detail as Nathaniel is still training Abigail, but what there is i must say is done well, the sex scenes are smoldering and erotic.I love the fact that Abby and Nathaniel are flawed in there own way, but together they make each other that little bit stronger. The emotion that come through the characters in there relationship is lovely, you feel the connection between them, even though Nathaniel fights it!.There are aspects of the book that are like 50 Shades and the Crossfire books, but i found it very enjoyable in its own right, and will be reading the next book for sure.

Fantastic - Must Read!!
I read this book in one go...unable to put it down. Just the right balance of bdsm & real life. Brilliantly written, totally grabs you into Abigails thinking - you feel her emotion , her desires, her wants & needs. Oh realise I'm using my partners account...haha! I'm not Simon Booth....I'm Debs Hunter Cogan!! Cant wait for The Dominant on Aug 6th (please publishers, dont delay it!!)

chicken or egg
Ok as this was fan fiction first its not an original or different story but I like Taras style. There is a lot of sex, good detail of submission and Abigail is likable. Tara writes about food extremely well, its a visual treat. Wish I could have read it before you know what !
