Overpiced. Not worth it.
product is overpriced. It is not "6X as fast". I bought this item in December. In February, there are still no results. Just not worth it.

A little goes a long way. Worked as advertised. In my case did not dry skin - used for 1 week twice daily, and a second week once daily. Used Terrasil soap alongside this treatment, and after for maintenance. Skin looked clear after a few days, followed my doc’s recommendation to continue use for 14 days. Excess product washed out of clothing/bedding. I’ve used this product a few times. The smell isn’t great, definitely a medicine smell, and I understand this is part of the fact the product can’t contain things that would activate yeast.

Bottom line: If you battle with tinea versicolor, give this a whirl. I have had to deal with it for 20 years and this was the fastest topical treatment and more effective than other "prescription strength" topical solutions. The only thing as quick as this was the oral medication, but that is hard on the liver. More detail: I have only used this for treatment on my arms so far. I used this in conjunction with the Terrasil Tinea soap. My method: Shower in the morning, allowing the soap suds stay on the skin for several minutes before rinsing. After fully dried, I applied a thin layer of this ointment. In the evening, I washed with the soap and again allowing the suds to sit for a few minutes before rinsing. Again, after fully dried apply a thin layer of ointment. Right before going to bed, I would blot the remaining oil to prevent it from staining bedding. I do recall reading at least one other reviewer that stated this caused their tinea versicolor to spread. I can tell you that I initially thought this was happening to me, but I continued using and it all went away. At least in my case, I believe the "spreading" was only some tinea versicolor that wasn't initially as visible to become visible while it was getting treated. Pros: Quick - got rid of the Tinea Versicolor in just under a week. No walking around smelling like sulfur as with some topical treatments. Not a prescription so easy to get. Cons: The ointment will stain some fabrics which is why I haven't tried it in other areas. The treated area will turn "brown" when exposed to the sun. The color will go away. Questions for the Manufacturer: Instructions/answers could be clearer. Because of the oiliness and the staining, can this product be as effective if it were blotted dry after a period of time? Such as 'apply a thin layer and can be blotted dry after an hour'. Just an example if you know how long it needs to be in place to be effective. Is the oil portion of this essential to the effectiveness? It would be great if you had a cream or something that could just be rubbed in and not worry about an oil that stains fabric or rubs off on whatever is touched.

This stuff is terrible. I burned and made it so much more painful. Had to immediately wash it off.

I decided to give the Terrasil Tinea Treatment MAX Ointment a try when struggling with tinea versicolor. The inclusion of both an ointment and a soap bar in the package was a plus for me, as I was seeking a comprehensive approach to addressing this skin condition. While my tinea versicolor didn't completely vanish after using this treatment, I understand that severe cases might require prescription medication, so I'm leaving a 4-star review to reflect my overall experience. The MAX Ointment was easy to apply and had a non-greasy texture, making it convenient for regular use. The accompanying soap bar was also gentle on my skin and left me feeling clean and refreshed after each wash. It's reassuring to use products specifically formulated for tinea treatment without worrying about harsh ingredients. However, even with diligent use of the Terrasil Tinea Treatment MAX Ointment, my tinea versicolor didn't entirely disappear. While I did observe some reduction in the affected areas, the patches persisted to some extent. I recognize that the effectiveness of such treatments can vary depending on the severity of the condition. I appreciate Terrasil's commitment to offering a natural option for addressing tinea. Their approach to developing products that are kind to the skin is evident, and the convenience of a two-product system is a definite plus. In conclusion, the Terrasil Tinea Treatment MAX Ointment shows promise and could be effective for less severe cases of tinea versicolor. While it didn't provide a complete solution for my situation, I still believe it's worth considering for those seeking a more natural treatment approach. For those with more stubborn or severe cases, consulting a healthcare professional for stronger intervention is likely necessary.
