Avatar Costume Accessory Navi Spear

My 12-year-old son needed this for an oral report on Odin. This was perfect. It comes in about 5, 12", pieces, so he could take it to school in his backpack, assemble it for the report, and then disassemble it for the bus ride home! He took the red ribbon/sash off and drew runes on the spear head with a silver permanent marker, just like Odin had. Now he has it to "play" with. He loves toy weapons, so this is just another addition to his "arsenal." I actually think that this is a well made toy weapon, especially compared to a lot of cheap toy weapons my son has and has had. The fact that the pole is made in about 4 sections that screw together, lends it stability. The plastic spear head is thick, but I think it's hallow. I think it is a fine value for the money - less than $15.00 for a spear this long!?! Wow!

The one thing my oldest son wanted for Christmas more than anything was a spear, which I couldn’t find anywhere. I’m glad I found this one for my little spartan. It’s huge! More like adult sized, but it turned out to be his favorite Christmas gift. He was so excited & uses it to “guard” his baby sister. Again, more of an adult size, but can’t beat the price! Plastic is a bit cheap but durable. He will get a lot of use out of it.

My son's school was putting on an Old Testament Play. We got it for a soldier to carry. It will be handy because it actually comes in 3 pieces and the spear head can be removed for use as a staff in other acts. It is fine for a prop but the quality is not that good for a toy, which is why I gave it four starts. If a boy used it play with as a spear, it probably would not last long.

I'm not sure if 3 is a fair score, but I picked that rating based on my satisfaction level. The spear is a plastic toy. I know that this should be obvious from the description, but I've recently bought a handful of props that have exceeded expectations. This item does not exceed expectations. It is a hollow rod that you assemble by screwing four plastic cylinders together. Because the spear comes in pieces, the final product has joints that are not strong enough to prevent the spear from bending when being held. The color details of the spear do not pass for realistic even at a distance. The wood is a vibrant brown, and the spear head is faded grey; not resembling any colors I've seen in nature. So, this item can serve as a great toy or basic Halloween prop, but it can not be used for anything more serious.

Great spear! It's easy to take apart and easy to assemble. The red ribbon can be used on the spear or if you're like me (very picky) you can take it off! It's made out of plastic so it's lightweight but it isn't flimsy. Great color and I received a lot of compliments for using this spear. Can be used on any costume that requires a spear, in my case, I used it as a tribal warrior weapon.

I purchased this to retrofit into a spear for my Princess Mononoke costume. It's perfect. The ribbon came detached so I wrapped it around the top portion of the shaft where the head attached and painted the arrowhead white. Good size and nice that its lightweight. Can be shortened probably if you leave the middle section out (came in multiple pieces).

My son was beyond excited to get this spear. Unfortunately its not very durable. It's made of a series of thin plastic pieces that screw together, but the joint are week and the plastic breaks if bent. The first one broke within a week, and the second broke within an hour! Not worth the money.

I needed an Ewok staff and this fit the bill. It comes apart into pieces and can be customized for size from toddler, to kids, to full adult height. The red ribbon also easily comes off. Great Halloween prop.
