Living the Château Dream: As seen on the hit Channel 4 show Escape to the Château

I'm such a fan of the Chateau and it was a delight to read this book! Just spending some time with the Strawbridges makes you feel like everything is right with the world...

The show is just lovely. I loved it so much I'm making my way through the seasons for a second time. The book is even better than the first one. It fills in all the little details we didn't know from viewing the seasons. Love the format between Angel's and Dick's point of views. I highly recommend the book if you want some joy in your life. I'm so truly happy for them and love that they are willing to share their adventure with us.

The second book from the Strawbridges shares yet more fascinating detail and nuance on their life at The Chateau. The insights are delightful as they are charming and are scripted in such a way that you can hear the authors in every word. A great tribute to a great family who provide many across the world with insight into realizing their dream!

Dick and Angel Strawbridge continue to rehabilitate their crumbling old chateau. They do a lot of the work themselves in an unique and creative way. They are also a couple obviously devoted to one another and their children.

I love this book almost as much as the first of the Chateau books. Filled with personal stories as well as scattered with recipes, it's a must read for Escape to the Chateau fans.

I wasn’t sure that i would like it when it arrived but I started reading it and really loved how they wrote the book together. I could feel the spirit of the writers in their own words - each contributed and made it an interesting read - also loved how they added recipes and how-to within the book - well done!

J'ai découvert l'émission du couple Strawbridge par hasard sur une chaîne française et j'ai accroché. Ce livre est intéressant pour mieux comprendre certaines circonstances de leur aventure et Dick ne se départit jamais de son humour, ni Angel d'ailleurs. Je n'ai pas encore fini la lecture mais c'est à la fois instructif, drôle et inspirant ... bien que je n'irais pas jusqu'à acheter un château ! De plus, il me permet d'entretenir mon niveau d'anglais. Je recommande !
