Cinematography: Theory and Practice: For Cinematographers and Directors

This book was given to me as a mandatory read for a college class and it was and has been a resource I turn to frequently!

I’m a film school graduate. I wanted to see if I missed anything during film school. This book refreshed my memory on a lot of things that I’ve learned in film school 5 years ago. I also learned a few important things also. This book is a cheap alternative to film school!

I needed this book for my class. Great text.

Like: lots of practical examples with great photos to illustrate what this is about.

I just full in love with this book. Only one minus that this book is too heavy to take it with me everywhere and enjoy the reading.))

11 pages in and i have to flip a few pages forward to see what the text is referencing, almost for every paragraph. It is frustrating. I ordered this with 10 other books and just now am getting to it. Too late to return it, or else I would.

This book covers everything you need to know about filmmaking, from techniques, to theory. Frames, Composition, Lighting, Color Grading, etc.

It came very tattered. There was sticky stuff on the front and the back cover pages.
