Auto tracking doesn't work well, if subject enters frame from left camera will move tot he left and often go past subject as it leaves right side of frame (mostly for faster subjects like slow moving cars or little kids running or riding bike but even if it's just a person walking it sometimes happens). You can forget about it tracking anything moving near bellow the camera (in my case the camera is right next to the walk way to my house so it can't tracking anyone walking up to my front door). I guess it's still better than no auto tracking because sometimes it works OK, but you can't rely on it actually tracking someone/thing if/when you need it. You'll like want to have fixed cameras to tell this one to move to zones they sense motion in). The camera it self is pretty good but you can get much better for this price w/o auto tracking (since the auto tracking is only useful as a gimmick you may be better off just going another route). I couldn't get this camera to tell Blue Iris when it was triggered so if it was auto tracking something it wouldn't pause the patrol set up in Blue Iris. Now the worst part is I've had this camera for over one year and it has just disappeared from the network. I thought maybe it reset itself to defaults but I can't find it on the default IP nor does it show up on SADPTool (which usually finds cameras that are on any subnet). Switch shows network activity so this is even more strange it doesn't show up. Camera doesn't return to programmed home after boot (It does go to the position it was at when I noticed it went offline-not a position it's sent to or where it was at when it went offline, maybe default home). I wasn't sure if this camera was worth the price from the start but definitely not now that it only last a little over 1yr. They say you can get new parts but I'm not even sure what parts I'd need since the camera moves around on boot and see network continuity on the switch and I don't seeing getting any help from Imporx.

POE, Remote access, quality of images.
I purchased this camera in May 2019, after opening the box I realized that is was a mini CD that came with it, and contacted Imporx for email link for download. I spoke with Amazon IT support which was offered at the time of purchase. live chat with them twice during the set up of the camera, although they were very helpful, on both occasions I was directed to IMPORX IT support for further information. One thing to note, I had to purchase a separate Splitter and POE in order for the camera to operate. It is not a stand alone POE camera. IMPORX IT support, I cannot fault on their very quick response and willingness to ensure the camera was set up and functioning correctly. I used Blue Iris as my software for monitoring and operating the camera, During the set up of the camera our own firewall did hinder the installation of the camera, and had to use teamViewer in order for the IT support to access my PC and assist in the installation. Overall the camera is up and running, Alerts, Auto Tracking, Videos etc are all high quality. Note. Not all functions are available within Blue Iris, and on certain functions these were required to be set up using the software provided by IMPORX . In order to ensure the Camera is Waterproof, we set the power adaptor along with ethernet cable within the box next the the camera. I agree with other reviews regarding how large the camera is, as its installed in our back yard, it is not important. Great Service from Kyla and the IMPORX IT support.

Overall good buy for the price.
UPDATE: 2 years and 6 months in it is still operational. Functions the same and no change in image quality. No new weird noises or anything. Pros: Price, build quality, image quality, includes auto tracking where other speed domes of similar price don't, like helicopter search light bright IR night vision. Cons: Large ( like a big white gallon jug), documentation, software, auto tracking function. Would be nice if it were half the size though this seems to be the going size for cameras of this spec. I may end up painting it to better blend in where it's mounted. The documentation is scarce and scattered in presentation. I got their phone viewing app to work but not sure on the PTZ function of it. It darts all over the place so it's hard to point it where you want to look with it. The computer software is an older version of Hikvision iVMS-4200 so I ended up removing it and loading the newest version from Hikvision which works fine with it. I was annoyed with documentation at that point so I just figured out on my own how to have the recordings saved on a computer separate from the one running the user interface. I also got iVMS-4500 on my phone which will play back the recordings saved on the iVMS-4200 storage server. The auto tracking works fairly well at detecting a walking human at about 50' and a vehicle out to 200'. What I don't like with the auto tracking is it doesn't lock onto a target, it'll switch to whatever in view interests it most at any given time. If it's tracking a person walking past a tree it'll switch to tracking the branches swaying in the wind. Or if a car drives by the person it'll start following the car instead. The other thing I don't like about the auto tracking is if it starts out at 1x zoom and detects a person at 75' away it starts tracking them and in slow increments zooms in. Basically they're gone before it gets past 4x of zoom which doesn't give much detail. Would be nice if it would more quickly zoom to fill the object of interest into view initially and then zoom in and out as needed while following the object. The IR is pretty impressive on this, there wasn't anything I looked at through it at night and wished for more output. I fully zoomed into a neighbor house about 450 feet away and there was enough IR to fully illuminate the front of their house and I could even see their refrigerator covered in magnets through the window. Hopefully it lasts a few years, the IR stays bright and improvements are made to the auto tracking function.

It didn't work out for me
I have been trying to buy one of these off-brand PTZ IP cameras to cover the outside of my property for a few years now. I need about 6 of them, so the price does matter, thus going for the off-brands. On and off I get one to test and see if they have improved in any way. The prices keep dropping but the problems still remain. I have tried 4 different brands so far: - USG Auto-Tracking IP PTZ Speed Dome Camera , - IMPORX 2MP 20X Zoom Auto Tracking PTZ Camera - [1080P] PoE+ PTZ Security Camera, NexTrend 7Inch 20X Optical Zoom PTZ Camera - SUNBA 1080p IP PoE+ High Speed Outdoor Pan Tilt Zoom Security Camera, I tested them all and had the same general conclusions. I usually don't like to make generic statements about specific products, but I would have written the same exact evaluation for all 4 specific products, so I decided to combine it here: - The hardware is generally well made. Casings are heavy gauge metal and well-milled. - The camera (engine) and Image quality are generally good. - The software is horrific to the point of being utterly useless. If you can bring the software up successfully (which is a challenge by itself) they lead you to poorly placed and confusing menus with one-word features that are never explained anywhere and you only have to guess and use trial and error to figure them out. - In the ones that have it, the more complex features such as "auto-tracking" and "motion-detection" that are key for me are completely erratic and useless. - The document, which normally consists of a few pages of poorly-written English, is often wrong, refers to non-existing features or sends you to non-existing websites. - It seems that these cameras are returned often because twice I got ones that have been obviously opened and used, and never brought back to original condition. The default IP address on one of them did not match what the document claimed (or was actually written on a label on the camera), which makes the initial connectivity quite challenging. I really tried hard to like one of these as I really need them. But it didn't work out for me. I have sent them all back.

Only last a little over 2 years
Camera worked for a little over 2 years I did not use Auto tracking because it was too sensitive only worked on Internet explorer they will not update plug in for chrome or any other browser email customer support they offered to remote connect which they did and figured out the camera did not have any motor function and could not log in or use camera whatsoever they did offer to fix the camera for free only I had to ship it to China and the only place that'll ship to China is FedEx and that is $200 one direction so does not pay return to be fixed for free when I bought this I spent almost $500 with injector and splitter be wary it will only last you two years or so

Good camera, old firmware, no support
Great camera for the price, if you are very knowledgeable and have lots of computer and security camera resources at your disposal. Picture quality is great in the daytime, still having issues with the infrared not setting properly for all distances at night. The seller responded to all questions prior to the sale within 24 hours. Questions to the seller after purchasing and the IMPORX support website have gone unanswered for over a week. Camera firmware and software supplied will not allow one to do any more than connect to the camera when using Windows 10. Luckily, I had an old XP computer which I could use. This allowed me to load the plugin supplied on an old version of Internet explorer and configure the camera. Even though I could connect with newer software, without an older browser, you will not be able to view the video, reconfigure the cameras IP address, configure camera presets, or activate and program the tracking feature. It’s quite an inconvenience to have to maintain an old computer just so one can modify any presets in the future. I am using Blue Iris software multiple cameras from various vendors, which now connects fine, can recognize the presets, and pan and zoom. The wiper, iris, focus, and infrared settings can only be accessed when using the XP computer and not through Blue Iris. So buyer be aware that this camera may not be for everyone.

Ask for Kyla, customer service tech
(((Updated)(Pro’s-Image was really good, night vision ; wow. Lit up everything in complete dark. 300+ feet no problem for ir night vision. Con’s- maybe with the cam I had: The motion detection was Sporadic. It would capture motion then just stop. Never could capture myself in the motion detection capture. Never got motion video to my app. ( was told later that the app had some bugs, but corrected now). Seem to me the auto track did good. If ya have trees and wind blows you may want to turn auto tracking off. It will go to it every time. I returned it because of video and motion detection capture problems. I like picture quality and IR night vision. Those was assume. I had a rough start with it as far as connecting to app. Do not, I repeat do change SN# on cam. It is what connects you to APP forP2P. That was my first mistake. Thought you put your own SN# in. Wrong. Thanks to the good people at IMPORX , they looked up my camera model and serial number and retrieved it for me. Kyla and the engineer. Thanks again Kyla . As for camera it’s is good. Just may got a lemon or may been some connection issues, Idk but I’d prob try again to buy in future. ))) Customer service is really great. Helped me out through set up procedure with great patience till things were worked out. My customer service tech was Kyla, be sure to ask for her by name. A++ for Kyla. Thanks.

Good camera but....
I experienced several issues with camera set up.. The software that came with the load disk would not link to the camera. The camera would NOT pick up the plugin after loading. Downloaded blue iris software demo from their website and finally got the camera to work. After loading the demo, the software that came with the camera worked, however the camera would not save any of the triggering or alarms inputs.. The camera resolution is great , night vision awesome. 20x zoom great.. The issue I have now is the auto tracking still does not work! So before you buy this particular camera the contact phone number is in China! I have received no helpful assistance amazon support they were not much help their resources for my issue was limited as well as knowledge on the functions of the camera.... Hook up in trying to get it to work was very aggravating to say the least.... So these are the issues I experienced . Imporx replied back and it took a few days to coordinate by email because email between us were channeled through Amazon. They made efforts to get the camera to track or follow subjects in the cameras view.. remotely. As I mentioned the camera resolution is great. The packaged soft ware not so much.. Amazon should be more user friendly when their support contacts "lack" the knowledge and resources to assist with product support and should be more diligent in putting costumers in direct contact with the OEM... I've changed my rating from a 1 star to a 3 because imporx did and was responsive and made efforts to correct the issue.. maybe I just received that one camera that fails to track..
