I installed this in an aluminum boat. There are no wiring instructions included, so one has to copy them from the Amazon web page. Also, there is only one mounting nut to hole the switch to the dash. As my boat is aluminum, it is thin. This makes the switch protrude quite a bit from the dash. Unsightly. It would be much better if another nut were included to fix this issue. The switch seems to function fine and overall I am pleased.

Replacement for Mercury 150 HP ignition switch. Fit perfectly, wired right up, easy install and still working after couple of months use.

Switch seems well built ,not cheap thin plastic same for keys they seem like you won't bend them over. easy to connect factory harness to, just match up colors then you just plug it up.it works for my 2018 Ranger rt198p looks like it came from the factory

So it went in easy but after a few times the key won’t turn back by itself. So now when you start boat you have to move the key back to on position. Definitely don’t buy unless you’re only buying to sell the boat like we are.

This unit was purchased to replace the failing ignition switch on a Mercury equipped outboard. The failing switch was experiencing issues with the stator internal switch where it would work when inverted but not in mounted position.The new switch came packaged well and uses industry standard wire coloring. This made installation extremely easy as it matches the wires on the boat already. Simply attaching connectors to the ends and hooked up to the harness. It has worked flawlessly during testing and also while on the water since install.

It installed fairly easy it is a little larger and diameter than the original switch the color codes did line up with mine but the key has no tumblers on it and likes to fall out of the ignition switch otherwise than that it does work

This ignition harness is colour-coded and easy to install. Works like a charm, including the choke.

The price was right and delivery was very fast.Be careful with the wiring to make sure that you match the original ones. All matched except the blue wire from my Mercury Marine 4 stroke matched the yellow/black wire. I made a chart and then used a circuit tester to confirm which one was which.My push in choke setting was sticky and this replacement fixed it.
