It is worth the money
I love my new purchase. It is a great investment. I love the fact that I don't have to get the entire paper roll wet when retrieving a paper towel. It is so easy to remove and tear.

Good!
I’m so impressed! It’s super convenient and works perfectly every time. One of my favorite features is that if any extra paper comes out, it automatically retracts back in—such a thoughtful touch that keeps things neat and tidy. I didn’t expect to love it this much, but it’s made a big difference in my kitchen!

Worst purchase ever...
It work good for the 1st couple of weeks then it started make a loud noise when it retracts. I called company and they had no solution and brushed me off and by the time they responded to my email it was too late to return to Amazon. Buy at your own risk.

Takes some getting used to...
I waited a while to review this because when I first got it, I wanted to throw it in the lake. I couldn't get it figured out as to how to rip off a paper towel without having this thing clog up and throw a fit, but after sticking with it, I can speak intelligently about it.The good; Runs on batteries or AC so if you have room on your kitchen counter for a wall wart you'll never have to change the batteries. However, the battery availability is good if you lose power, because if it loses power, it will lose its calibration. You'll have to dispense many paper towels and tear one off again to set its dispensing length. Maybe I can use them as a backup, I'll have to try that. The unit dispenses well, and holds well enough to rip off a paper towel when you want, easy to load, indicates when it's out. It also has a function to hold your hand in front of the sensor if you want more than one paper towel. Simple to use. Also available in Silver to match your appliances. The bad; I have a bit of a wish list here, and it's a bit technical so bear with me. I wish the dispense length calibration would hold between rolls and change only when commanded to do so by a button. A small gripe to be sure but it freaks out my girlfriend when I change the roll and 8 paper towels come flying out, and she didn't realize I changed the empty roll. I wish the time the dispensed towel stays out could be adjusted between, say, 2-10 seconds. I find it doesn't quite stay out long enough for my taste. Lastly, I have found that it has taken me a while to get the right method to tear off the paper towel, and a two-handed approach starting from the bottom or from the middle is usually best. If you tear from the top, you'll likely end up with a flag at the end of the next paper towel and a corner missing from the one you tore off. You'll have to figure your own unit out for yourself, but just know that it takes development of a tearing technique to get a clean towel with all the corners on it, and you've got to give it a month or so.Conclusion: Good gadget for your kitchen to help keep things neat and modern, but for the money, I think the two wish-list items I mentioned wouldn't be too much of a stretch. Takes some getting used to as to how to tear your paper towels off, and benefits from batteries so your calibration doesn't get lost.
