This handy Cooling or Heating Therapy Pack is made especially for a Sleep Mask with a pocket or pouch (SOLD SEPERATELY! ). After you have heated or cooled the gel pack insert it in the pocket or fold of the Sleep Mask. HEATING: This Gel Pack may be heated in hot water immersion only for a couple of minutes after the water has started boiling. Heating times with a microwave are based on 600W. Adjust heating times accordingly to suit the power of your microwave – this may take a few practices to get right Flatten pack and ensure gel is evenly distributed. Place pack in the microwave and heat for 20 to 30 seconds. Remove pack and test the temperature on the underside of your arm. Continue to heat for 10 second bursts until the desired temperature is reached. Record the total heating time for your microwave for future use Always heat from room temperature - never from frozen. Microwave the gel pack ONLY - not the fabric cover/wrap Monitor the gel pack while heating. If you observe swelling of the pack turn off the microwave immediately and wait for swelling to subside. COOLING: Place pack in freezer for approx. 2 hours for optimal usage. Gel Pack may be stored permanently in freezer for emergency use

Could be a better product
This eye mask is good for a little while. If you use it cool then it only stays cool for maybe 15 mins. I was expecting this to stay cool a little longer. It has no straps to hold it in place. I thought it was going to be a little more better than it really is.

Safety Concerns
It came with no instructions and no information on what to do if it was punctured. I questioned it's safety. I was not putting that anywhere near my face. I purchased it to go with a sleep mask. The mask is tight (but usable) and has some issues that are not conducive to using this insert. I do not recommend using any product that involves a chemical and no instructions.

Nice and cool or even hot
I ordered the gentle dreams sleep mask and realized that they also have a pack that can go in to be cool or hot. I prefer it to be cool after a long day, really relaxing. This plus my gentle breezes essential oil diffuser really does me some good. Totally recommend
