Positive Service After The Sale
Iโve owned the AGM Glory Pro since 27-Jun-2022. The draw for me was the thermal camera and rugged features being in the automotive repair industry. While the software has a few idiosyncrasies, the phone has functioned well overall. My review is a little different than others, it focuses on the experience once the phone was damaged. I'll be honest, the screen was no longer functional for what amounts to consequential damage and abuse. The outcome of the situation was the surprising part that greatly exceeded my expectations. The phone took a pretty good hit. We had a hit-and-run incident in the parking lot at the car dealer I work at. As the driver was fleeing the scene I was screaming for him to stop. Once it was determined he was speeding off I threw the Glory G1 Pro through the open right front window at the driver. Unfortunately, it missed him and hit the left front window (that was closed) pretty hard. It was hard enough I heard it hit the window glass outside the car while it was moving away. If youโve held this phone before; it's apparent the Glory Pro went to the all-you-can-eat battery buffet and filled up, it has some heft. The phone then left with the vehicle for about 90 minutes. The profoundly stupid part of the equation is the driver was a current customer. Between the video showing the entire episode and the fact we had more than enough information for the local police department (name, address, phone number, email address, vehicle identification number, current vehicle miles, ect.) It wasn't hard to trace him down. Once the driver returned the phone also found its way back to me. I tapped the side button and it worked! To my surprise the case had small scuff but no broken screen, cameras were intact, and looked like a normal day's use. For three days it functioned normal . . . then the screen backlighting no longer functioned. Canโt say I was surprised, not many electronics could take a hit like that. I contacted the email address ([email protected]) on the AGM website, told them the truth as to what happened, attempting to send it off and pay for the repair. I had a response in under 90 minutes asking for greater details in functionality, proof of purchase, and images of the device to determine repair status. I sent the pics and information expecting it to take a little time. In under 24 hours I had a different representative from the Amazon team contact me after reviewing the information and determining it was repairable. Oh, they also said it was on the house and gave me an address to ship to. I was shocked, the incident was blatant abuse and I didnโt try to hide it. In my industry people try to find ways to deny warranty coverage even when it's deserving, not the other way around. The lady even asked if the 3-5 day turnaround time was OK, I chuckled as it currently takes us longer to receive car parts. I donโt write many reviews but figured this was the best way to thank the AGM Mobile associates that helped me. Even if they didnโt repair the phone free of charge the process flowed well, especially for a portable electronics company. From start to finish the execution went well; I never had to chase people down or email multiple times.

Poor support and no software updates?
Good things about the phone. The battery life is very good it can easily go 3+ days of my usage without being plugged in, the thermal and night vision cameras work well, the speaker as others have mentioned is loud, I really like the flashlight. Not so good things about the phone. In general it's not a good phone, reception is poor when compared to other phones in the exact same location, it seems to not support some of the T-Mobile carrier frequencies either that or the reception is so poor it won't pick it up when other phones do. The external speaker design makes the phone really odd to handle, sit down, put in pocket etc. The touchscreen feels cheap and is difficult to type on for some reason. Many USB-C cables will not plug into the phone due to the recessed waterpoof USB plug. The rounded corners of the display cut off some text in the corners. It doesn't appear that it will be getting any android security updates and AGM support does not seem to be existent at all. IMO this is not an $899 phone, for that price it should be getting security updates and have manufacture support. My biggest issues with the phone are 1. Poor cell reception 2. Odd speaker design that makes it "clunky" 3. Lack of security updates and support 4. The price

5G?? No it's Not. Good & Rugged phone for 4G LTE
AGM Glory Pro (w/ Thermal Camera) Pros *Solid feel and construction. This phone is a tank and it's not going to slip out of your hand like an Iphone or Galaxy S22. *Great battery life and works well in the cold. *Android 11 with no carrier bloatware is fast and smooth. *The Flashlight module is very bright. (Handy to have.) *The speaker is just as loud as advertised and has good sound quality at higher volumes. *The Thermal camera has very good resolution. *Basic setup was easy. *Dual Sim or 1 Sim and 1 Micro SD Card. Cons *Included documentation is extremely basic and limited. There is NO further information available on the sellers web site. So using any other features or functions is a time consuming task of trial and error. One example is using 2 sims / phone numbers. Both 5G? Use both at the same time or calls only one number? If that's the case, which one and how to change settings? *It's a Tank (as expected). Large phone and although I tried multiple carriers designed for 2 phones only one would hold this and a Note 10 Plus. *No belt clip / holster available. *No updates for Android or security. *The SIM tray has to be inserted upside down. Counter intuitive and you have to hold the phone with the screen facing down to insert the tray or the Sim card falls out. *Only works on T-Mobile. *The Thermal camera is slow to load. *Has only the n41 UC (Ultra Capacity) 5G band. Does NOT have the n71 XR (Extended Range) 5g band. It needs BOTH to work correctly. I had no 5g at my home even though the area is covered by N71 band. In a large metro area I experienced 5 bars of 5G but NO internet / data service! Could not access or use anything that required internet access such as Google Maps. Work around was to change network settings to 4G LTE and instantly had internet again. Discussed with Tier 2 tech support at T-Mobile and they had no solutions for the lack of internet. Calls worked fine when in a 5G area but that's NOT what you need 5G for. Odd thing is this phone contains both of the bands needed for AT&T or Verizon, n2 / n5 / n77, but the phone is listed stating it does NOT work on those networks. ??? The lack of internet on 5G was experienced multiple times (Meaning every time I was in the metro area.) over 2 months so it's not a tower or localized problem. Conclusion - I'm returning the phone. It's priced as a Flagship phone at $800 but does NOT have 5G that works. The only thing that sets this phone apart from 4G models, at half the price, is the thermal camera. You can find dual sim, 4G phones with thermal cameras in the $400-$500 range.

Nearly flagship grade rugged phone.
This truly is a top of the line ruggedized phone. Overall, the G1 pro is nearly on par with my work phone, which is a Pixel 5a. The speaker is wonderfully loud and has decent sound quality considering it is on a phone. The camera is crisp and clear, and the thermal camera is far superior to the one in my Ulefone Armor 9. The lightly textured shoulders on the back of the device help it stay in your hand comfortably, and the lip around the speaker makes it possible to reach any part of the enormous screen one-handed, without the need for one of those stupid pop-up things. I do wish the screen had a deeper bezel for better protection, and I also wish the screen were a half-inch smaller diagonally. Any screen over 6" is too much for me. Four stars overall, only because it's unnecessarily big. Other than the size, this thing is incredible.

I'm set for a few years
The cell phone industry is in decline - gone are the days of needing the next new thing, you just need something to work. Sales are now driven by features, not processing power. This phone has the features. Thermal cam, IR cam, decent camera (it really sucks in low light, though), loud speaker, remappable side button, LED torch, relatively new android and 5g. I am getting the same network speeds as I was with my lg v60 5g. The fingerprint reader started great, but when I added a second or third fingerprint, it turned garbage. That and face unlock, the phone is always trying to unlock itself, which is fine. When you are using the phone, the fingerprint reader stays on, so it's constantly vibrating at you while you're holding it and your finger is near the scanner. Also, the microphone presented weird issues, so there's some software that needs polishing for sure. Speaker is LOUD. You have to put the phone face down or be facing the speaker, or it'll be drowned out. You also have to be careful, my speaker grille is dented. Kind of a bad design for a "rugged" phone, you'd think they would have put a rim around it to prevent that. The powder coating is also rubbing off of my speaker grill... Aside from that, the phone feels great in my hands, and I have teeny tiny hands. It is a bit of a chonker, but no different than any modern phone in a well protected case.

Everything I asked for, and Very happy with this purchase this far!!
Love this phone! The thermal is very good ! I can see a water line across my shop or conduit box, at 60-70 feet away (no obstructions) has a sorta change the color options super fun.. even adult fun! And the pro option in the camera software is amazing for exact temperaturea around 1ft away..!! And the speaker, has made me loose my blue tooth at work.. Also play a 6v6 popular robot game... Very well. I recommend the mount, it cost a bit more but if your buying this phone for construction or wet working environments, get the dock! I have owend the phone for couple of months, but haven't removed the charging ,headphone plug one single time. It stays above 50% easy with 10-12h of playing music or several.hours playing WB,. And it charges very quickly! If any thing does become an issue I will update. All in all great phone for the $ does everything I wanted and a few things I don't know how to use honestly.. Update 9-7-24 There is no 5g I have tried T-Mobile told me 4g max. Also it drops signals a lot. Flustered. The speak while still working is very easily damaged. I am currently trying to see about repairing it, before considering a new phone. I will probably keep this phone and use it has a took and music box. But it's definitely getting slower and there is Zero customer support.. Randomly it will freeze and then I see Asian. Writing (idk the difference) and it shits off. On its own sometimes I plug it in to charge same thing just shuts off.. it so far continues to restart but. Not one update or anything else in 2 years

It stopped working
In less than a year it stopped working. It was a great phone until then. It just started acting strange so I restarted it and wouldn't come back on I don't recommend this phone for this reason . For what it cost it should last Langer!!

Great Phone but not for ATT
This is an awesome phone everything works great especially the thermal camera. The big problem we ran into was ATT doesn't like it. We put in the sim card from my old phone and everything was working except the wireless data. We talked to ATT over the phone and then went to the store and they either could not or would not solve the problem they said the phone was defective. We then went to the T-Mobil store and they put in one of there sim cards and it worked prefect. After being with ATT for several years I'm now a T-Mobil customer and the whole family is switching. I'm not giving up this great Phone cause one provider doesn't like it. I love this phone so much we switched providers so that's saying something.
