SONDPEX Dragtrack Racing System Vehicle

The concept is great and it is a lot of fun once it is working. The timers work well. Unfortunately, the car releases had a lot of issues. One of them would only go half way down and the other would get stuck. The manufacturer obviously didn't bother to test this on a toy that costs over a hundred bucks. I didn't want to deal with returns, so I disassembled it, polished some of the plastic contact points, retrimmed the plastic around where the crroked springs were set, and lubed everything. It works great now, but I shouldn't have to spend hours repairing a new item.My only other complaints are that it isnt very smooth where the track connects and there is nothing to stop or slow the cars when they go off the end. I used a cardboard box with with some foam padding to stop the cars without damaging them. If you want to play it right away, make sure you have C batteries - if you are a normal person you have everything but C batteries.Once it is going, it is hours of fun. Times on both tracks are almost the same - maybe a 0.01 second difference. Racing cars comes down mostly to reaction time, but cars can differ by 0.2 seconds. Hot Wheels Redline series seem to be the fastest, but sometimes oddball cars happen to be really fast. We race for play money to place bets. I'm really too old for this.

Did not purchase from Amazon. Purchased directly from manufacturer. Kids loved it when it worked, but after a day of playing, the starter on the right lane would not work. E-mailed manufacturer who said he would send a replacement, but a month and a half later still nothing. After several attempts in contacting him, he does not reply. Save your money.
