A Farmer's Year: Daily Truth to Change Your Life

My mother sent my a few copies of some pages when I needed a little pick me up dealing with infertility and I fell in love with this book. Got it for Christmas and have read a page a day since the first of the year. Each page has the date, a bible verse, a short story on how it relates to farming, and then a short insight on how to use the verse in everyday life. Covers a lot of good topics. I look forward to reading it to my husband every night, even when he is out of town! I would highly recommend this to anyone who is going through a tough time or even if you re not. Great messages! BUY IT!

These are fabulous..how to apply Christian principles to ordinary life situations. Don't expect flowery, pie in the sky, rhetoric...this is a "mean & potato" Gospel preacher/farmer; who tells it like the Gospel truth, that it is. He sticks to "The Word" and doesn't apologize for it. He's not some hard-hearted fella, who's never admitted to needing God's help..he's a real guy, who had trouble with his temper, relationships and over-all behavior; before being transformed, by God's Grace, at a revival meeting and has spent his life, learning and living the Biblical principles, in real-life applications, ever since. Both, the men and the women, I've sent these to, have enjoyed them. Gives men some actual guidelines, on how to become "real men", who aren't bullies; but command respect from everyone of all ages. What's not to like about that?

I love this book. Since I was also raised on a large farm, I immediately fell in love w/Angus and his family and his ministry in South Africa. He speaks my kind of faith and I understand him well. I wish I could personally meet him and thank him for his words.The vendor was quick in sending this book and it was new.I would purchase from them again.

Bought this for my uncle last year, he loved it - so, decided I needed a copy. I ordered a used one for myself and it is in perfect condition. Very enjoyable read - esp. since I grew up on a farm.

Great pair of ear buds, bass is not really deep but at louder volume it does pretty good. I wear them while I work and at low volumes I can still hear the music and can carry on conversation with other people without taking one bud out of my ear. Phone calls work great(Galaxy note4) my wife never has issues with our calls.

I got this for my husband's birthday and he has really enjoyed it. We saw the movie, "Faith Like Potatoes" about this author and it also was awesome. My husband comes from a long line of farmers.

I look forward to Angus's uplifting readings for each day. When I get discouraged, his insights help me to remember that this is a journey and each day has new hopes and opportunities to help myself and in so doing, others as well. He always has a wonderful attitude and insights of the Lord that only someone walking in His presence could have. I highly recommend this devotional.

Excellent devotional; especially for farmers, outdoor and gardeners. Angus really does bring out the scriptures with the earth and nature as God designed us to be atuned too. We have read this devotional for several years now and I've given it for gifts also.

You don't feel as though you are being preached to - just strongly encouraged to trust God by a man who does.

Excellent day to day guidance, not only shows references in the bible but also gives an everyday example and understanding.
