Excellent for backup antenna mount
I use my usual roof antenna any time, but when I am in a hurry or out on the road, or at a food stop, I can quickly fit this on a side window, use my hand held radio's antenna and radio and get up on the air. It can be a time save and it is good to use in the rain, since you can set it up and use it without getting out of your vehicle. Just toss one in you glove compartment.

Like it enough to buy a second!
These work well enough to justify a second. I got one for my daughter and one for my wife's car. They will be used for 2m/70 and GMRS.

Works just fine, although freeway speeds may cause picket fencing
I have used this Mount several times in my truck and have had good luck in receiving and transmitting. I was worried that it may cause issues with the door gasket but have not seen anything so far. There is a slight air leak but not to the point that it's annoying. I did notice some picket fencing when going at high speeds but that may be due to the flexibility of the 19 inch whip antenna that I had attached to it.

Two in use and they work.
One is for my CB and is good for about three miles - OK for me on the road. The other is for an HT amateur radio and hits the repeaters I use as well as other mobiles. There is a slight hiss at highway speeds, but I can't hear it if my car radio is on.

Alignment issue??
So here is the catch..... It holds an antenna fine as long as it is on a window YOU NEVER USE. If you so much as crack the window it either comes down with the window, which is fine, until it hits the door frame. .. or it detaches from the window and stays in the upper track.... But then when you roll it back up, it is no longer adjusted properly and the glass does not go in metal antenna track...... It's great if you don't use this window!!!

Poorly designed; will scratch your tint
This product was not well thought out. It has a nylon “nipple” that is affixed with ordinary adhesive to the surface that is designed to apply pressure to the inside of the glass, and nothing on the other side. After two or three uses (placing on and removing from a window), the nylon nipple fell off unnoticed, and the bare metal beneath permanently scratched and ruined my tint on the inside of the window. I actually found a bur on the metal that was perfectly suited to scratch whatever glass surface onto which it was slid into place. I now need to replace the entire tint on that side. For those who want to continue to use this product, you should get some Teflon sheet cut to fit or similar add-on to protect your glass from bare, metal.
