Jewel Set

I bought this as a stocking stuffer for my five year old and she absolutely love this item. At first it did not look like much but it fun for a little one. This is a really simple set that draws off a child imagination. There is a string to make a necklace and bracelet. There is enough beads to make both and they do change colors as stated. My daughter made the initial set and then changed the colors and then redid them. There are so many ways to make the necklace and bracelet that it really just makes it fun. This is an item my five year old can use by herself and we also remake them together. There are no tradition clasps on the bracelet or necklace it uses the pop in and out bead type. (Not sure what the correct name is.) They just pop together and pull apart.Very simple and Lots of fun. Would definitely recommend this.

My 5 year old is already in 'designing' her own clothes and jewelry. This is great, because it give her an easy way to be creative. There's no mess either other than water, just put a towel under the kit. She enjoys watching the beads change color and gets creative with splashes of cold water after it's dipped in hot water. Great buy if you get it on sale. If fact, we bought the bigger kit because she enjoyed this one so much.

I only paid $2.49 for this toy. The good part of this review is that is that my girls have had a lot of fun with theirs and I had to buy more so they can give them away as birthday presents. The girls design their own jewelry and then watch it change colors as it heats up or cools down. The bad side of this review is that it's not a very durable toy and you'll end up throwing it away fairly soon. It's fun while it lasts.

My daughter (age 5) asked for this for last Christmas. I got her this smaller set instead of committing to a larger set, and I'm glad I did.The beads did change color, but with less control than she expected to have. In general, it was kind of messy (though just water), and not very interesting.Within a month or so, most of the beads had been lost, and she wasn't upset about it. It was a fun stocking stuffer - just not a long lasting toy.

My granddaughter received this for Christmas along with the Color Splasherz Design Station and Purse Set. This was one of her favorite gifts and she had a great time with it. She's very proud of all the jewelry she made. The Design Station might not be the best deal for the money, but it depends on whether the pleasure your child has with a gift is worth more to you than the gift itself.

A nice gift for a young lady who loves to dress up. Great idea to be able to change the color of your jewelry when you want to. This item does what it is supposed to.

I really wanted to like this toy more than I do. While my daughter did have fun the first time she played with it, I'm tired of having to constantly help her pick up beads that spill everywhere each time she takes the necklace off. Too much of a hassle.
