Will I need an adapter to use this charger with my Tesla?

All of Schumacher’s EV chargers use the universal SAE-J1772 connector. This connector is compatible with most North American electric vehicles. However, Tesla vehicles will require an adapter, such as Schumacher’s SA914 J1772-to-Tesla Adapter.

What kind of outlet do I need for this charger?

This EV charger is compatible with both 240V NEMA 6-20 outlets and standard 120V AC household (NEMA 5-15) outlets. The charger’s main plug fits 240V NEMA 6-20 outlets. However, a standard 120V AC outlet adapter is included in the box.

Is this a Level 1 or a Level 2 charger?

This charger is capable of both Level 1 and faster Level 2 EV charging.
