If you're just looking for a cheap ball that you'll use only in training and not competition, this isn't what you want. But if you want to train a goalie to block something small that behaves like a larger ball, this is perfect. It's also great if you want to play a game with people who aren't skilled players. The larger ball can be difficult for novices to pick up and throw. This fun-sized ball makes the game accessible to everyone, making it perfect for recreation.

This is a very small water polo ball, so if you know what a polo ball is, you know what you're getting with this one. I bought it for my 1 y/o son to play with, and while it's still too big for him to grab with one hand right now, he'll grow into it. The grip feels just like a normal polo ball, so you can still handle it when wet. It's also inexpensive and the shipping was fast.Hat tip to the other amazon reviewers who accurately described the item so I knew what I was looking for when I wanted a children's water polo ball.

Same quality and material as a normal sized ball. The only water it has seen so far is in the bathtub. Should work great at the pool this summer for my 1 year old.It is a little pricey for a @ 6" diameter ball, but should several years.

This little water polo ball doesn't retain air. I inflated it fully, and within 5 hours, it was flat again. So I inflated it again the next day, and same thing happened - went flat within hours. Total waste of money. If it held air, it would be fun. It is larger than an NCAA size softball, but still (when inflated) is easy to throw around with my adult female size hand.
