LivexLighting 2151-04 Monterey 1 Light Outdoor Black Finish Solid Brass Wall Lantern with Clear Beveled Glass, 13" x 8.5" x 8.25"

So I installed two of these larger lights on my front porch, flanking my front door and two of these smaller lights in my backyard adjacent to each of my backyard doors. They all look very nice and were fairly easy to install (some of the mounting screws are in awkward spots to access and are blocked by the lantern). The brushed or satin nickel gives a subdued but rich look and will hopefully not pit like the brass ones I was replacing. Over the past several years I have replaced all the brass hardware in my house with brushed nickel and I must say it looks classy and updated on the gray and dark blue siding/shutters on my Victorian style home. These outdoor fixtures and my entry door lock set were the final brushed nickel pieces to complete the conversion.The lights are very nice quality; with a nice heft in build quality and real glass panes. The hanging lantern design gives it a classy look, too. Inside a standard screw bulb fits and installs easily.Due to the fact that I bought these online and had no visual size reference, I bought two of both the smallest size and the larger size (as noted in the attached pictures). The plan was to use the larger lights on my front stoop and the smaller ones in my backyard, but if the larger ones were too big and looked out of place on my stoop I was going to put them in my yard. Turns out the larger ones looked nicer hanging in my front; hopefully the pictures will help others visualize the size...the installed bulbs are the same in both so the difference in the size of the glass and the lantern between the two sizes can be noted. As for the backing and lantern hook, that stuff is the same size between models.As a quick aside, I was reluctant to mix brushed nickel with the three oil-rubbed-bronze light fixtures I have on my first floor due to a fear of clashing, but the combo looks nice and according to some advice I received and some home decorating things I read, it is entirely permissible.Overall, these outdoor lanterns are high quality and thus far seem to have been a good buy. If time goes on and they do not hold up well, I will update.

That strap is simple to remove before installation.- With out without that strap, the bottom of my lamp leaned outward noticeably – i.e., it wasn’t vertical. To level it, I removed the nut/lock washer holding the lamp’s top to the wall-base, slipped on a small O ring and a brass lamp nut over the threaded rod – and tightened. That extra thickness (5/32" of so) moved the lamp away from the base, so that it was level.- Soldered construction – glass inserts are not removable or replaceable. If any break, you’ll need a new fixture.- Two sizes – see customer images: 2051-91 (small) and this one, 2151-91 (medium)

Call me old fashioned, but I just love my exterior shiny brass accents on my doors. We just had our home repainted with a totally new color scheme. I had only replaced the door hardware from oiled bronze to shiny brass because - let's face it - so few folks like the shiny brass anymore, it's tough to find. Now that my paint is exactly how I envisioned, I decided to go for all the exterior fixtures, too. Well, several trips to local stores yielded the right shape, but not finish. Check on Amazon, and bingo! Saw the price and thought the fixture would be flimsy and plated crap. Nope! Gorgeous quality and form to function. I'm very happy with this purchase!

We moved into a 20 y/o home with lights very similar to these. The frame of the old lights were rusting away so we needed replacements. We chose these because of the style and value and are very pleased with the purchase. The lights look good installed, appear to be of good quality and are near replacements for the old lighting fixtures.

I bought three of these lights. One of them didn't work at all. Amazon would not take it back because we didn't put it up right away and we were passed the return date. We had to buy new screws because the ones with it were to short. After the first one was installed. It was only up three weeks and the finish is coming off. Very poor quality!!! Would not recommend buying these unless you like throwing your money in the garbage!! Very unhappy!!!

These are just a bit smaller than I expected and I considered exchanging them for the next size larger (unavailable from Amazon) but they were way too large so we kept these. They are very nice looking and the brushed nickel (gray) looks great on my gray house w/white trim. Also great that the bottom is open for ease of changing the single bulb when necessary (i'm using Led bulbs).

The porch lamps that came with my house had rust speckles all over them and the housing was small and blocked a lot of light. I purchased the Livex set because they are brushed nickel, which matches my door hardware. Install was easy--remove the old, install the new.They look great! Much brighter than they used to be with all the glass letting more light through!

Bought these lights a month ago to replace my existing lights similar style but in brass and wanted to update to brushed nickel. They don't seem to be brushed nickel at all but a painted grey color. These 2 lights are on either side of my front door and I have a full covered porch as such they are protected from rain and snow but it's still outside so its subject to humidity. After a month I already am showing pitting occurring. Would not have expected this and am extremely disappointed in this product
