Absolutely outstanding product for germinating seedlings
Absolutely outstanding product. I've been living with the Northeast tomato blight and decided to try growing Krim tomatoes from seed. I started a lot of early seedlings and put some under the lights, some in a nice warm bright room, and left some under other lights intended for similar purposes. The speed at which the tomatoes, and then black zucchinis and yellow squash seedlings took off under these lights was truly impressive. In some cases it brought back what I considered pretty much candidates for the compost heap. By the way, they do not get hot to the touch --- it's the band width that encourages the germination. At this point - five weeks - the plants are so large and healthy I'm just waiting on the outdoor temperature to permit me to get them out of the house before they start coming up the stairs and raiding the refrigerator. A REAL FIND!!! Just buy some clip lamps, give them a good distance and a good coverage for the throw of the light and you'll be extremely satisfied.

Bulb works well and the plants like it, but it is very heavy.
The light is very bright and the plants seem to like it. The only down side is that the bulb is so heavy that the goose neck lamp I am using can not support the weight. An ordinary grow light bulb is about 1 oz. This is 1.2 pounds. I used a piece of paracord to hold the lamp up and now all is well.

Reliable & durable 24 watt LED grow light by Lampat
PRO: (1) Durable & Reliable = bought 2 of these 18 months ago, still working and doing a good job (2) Competitive Price = very competitive (in 6 dollar range). LED grow light prices have been steadily declining over the past few years, so now are very affordable and Lampat has kept pace. (3) Supplier Performance = Angella's Lamp delivered on time (actually ahead of time) with good packaging.CON: None! Everything was positive concerning the product and the supplier.

Very Heavy- beware if using in a pivoting fixture.
Updated and dropped to 2 star after several weeks of use:Product has 9 red and 3 blue LEDs however blues are in the middle rather than edges as photo shows. When close enough to plants to have enough light intensity the light distribution is uneven- when close enough to the plants to have enough light intensity there are gaps in the illumination. If using as seasonal supplement to natural light this may be okay. If you are serious about growing or this is soul source of light I think you will need 3 or more but with no design or placement info provided by seller you are taking a risk. Bulb weighs a whopping 17.1 oz (485gm)!Original review:The light is as described except that product description indicating that it can be used in any standard fixture is not quite accurate as the bulb is quite large in diameter and it is so heavy most pivoting fixtures such as typical clamp on fixture or swing-arm lamp will not be able to handle the weight. Bulb is quite bright but light output in Lumens is not specified thus making it impossible to compare with competing bulbs. I've played with smart phone apps claiming to measure lumens via smart phone camera but have learned the science behind the apps is questionable.

Not for vegetables!
Even at 3 feet above the plants, the beam spread is too narrow to light up standard 20" plant starting trays: you would need 2 of these. My seeds started but, after a month, I can't say they have grown any better than with just ambient light; actually, the plants at the edge of the lighted area seem to be doing better than those directly under the lamp. Update 3/31: I used this for tomatoes and peppers. The plants directly under the lamp (which is 3 feet above) are substantially smaller and even wilted while the ones at the edge that get mostly ambient light are growing tall and healthy. Maybe this works for flowers. :-(

Not bad
Pepper leaves curled. I think the light might be a little too bright. I kept them about 2 feet away.

As advertised
I bought this light to help my outdoor-turned-indoor plants make it through the winter. The plants in the room with the light are doing better than the ones without. I have a brown thumb so I need to do all I can, right? The light stays on for 8-12 hours a day, and it doesn't get hot. Warm, yes, but I can still touch the bulb long enough to change it to another lamp. It sort of has the effect of a black light (makes things glow/look fluorescent), and it has a pretty intense purple light that hurts my eyes a little if I spend too long in the room when it's the only light on. Overall, I am happy with it.

Four Stars
I noticed that my plants are really doing well with these grow lights. They are 'surviving' really well.
