Timber Tuff TMW-58 Log Peeler

Works great saves a ton of time doing it by hand .you will need to drill some holes in your chainsaw bar I just used a old bar I had but if you need to debark some logs you need to get this .the install is pretty easy if you know your way around a chainsaw and can use some hand tools I would say the install is about a 2 on a 5 scale

O Wow. I like! So it was a little work mounting. I missed the knowledge of needing a chain 2 inches larger to drive the cutter. I made a few ailment adjustments. Had to put washers between the cutter and bar. Just 1 at each mount bolt. This made sure the sprockets line up.After using for a while i noticed power loss. Turned out my chain was in the bar on top but out on the bottom. Seams the tools changeable sprocket wheel can wonder out. Mostly when the chain touches the wood. It also was a easy fix. I used a rubber o ring on the outside of the sprocket wheel to take away its wondering. Great tool great buy but you will need to make sure everything lines up. I can see why it needs to be on a smaller saw. On my small saw it works great. In fact to many rpms its too aggressive and will dig a pocket. And for making my saddle pockets it is awesome.

Nice peeler, if you have a extra saw, this is important wash your log, clean the bark well sand will destroy blades.

We got this to strip some cedar logs for fence posts. It works just as it should! Very easy!

This was difficult to use initially and bounced a lot. After first use one corner of both blades were bent. Thought I hit something but there was nothing to hit. Still debarked 6 logs with it bent. Ordered new blades and at instillation noted the blades were installed at 1/8" not 1/32 as instructions stated as the set up and not to exceed. Picture shows original blade and discoloration, next to newly installed blade at less than 1/32.Will try this setting first and adjust out. Beware of poor factory set up and check before use. Blades were quoted at about 40 dollars each at customer service and found on line for about $20 for two. (carbide tipped)

Works great, easy set up once the holes are drilled in the chainsaw bar. But this pice of machinery is amazing. Totally debarked a 9" tree by 16 foot long in 23 min. Outstanding.

We recieved the first one on January 5th It worked well but lasted less than a month! The spline adapter stripped out causing the sprocket to free spin. The parts are back ordered for four weeks so it was quicker to order a new one. February 9th we recieved our second debarker exactly the same as the last and today February 27th the same problem! Highly disappointed

OMG! my husband cannot get enough of this "toy"! I will be surprised if there are any trees standing in the general area in the near future - lolHe saw a video and wanted one desperately, so it made a great Christmas presant. He is enjoying using this to no end. Uses basic planer blades to cut. easy to adjust and replace. Very easy to install. Instructions do not tell you that you need to either use a 2" longer chain than your existing chainsaw bar length, or you have to buy a 2" shorter bar and use your existing chain. (ie; you have a 18" chainsaw = use your old bar & buy a new 20" chain to run the log peeler oryou have a 18" chainsaw = buy a new 16" bar & use your old 18" chain to run the log peeler)Over all VERY happy with purchase and look forward to the finished projects in the near future!
