Tough little choker
I saw some negative reviews before purchasing, decided to take a chance on it and I'm glad I did. This little dude is tough. I live on the side of a mountain, I have to either pull up cuttings with my 4 wheeler or winch them up if the pile gets too big. I have winched up some pretty big piles of juniper limbs with this choker on the end, no problem. Works great for 4 wheeler too, cinch up load and just throw the ring over a 2" ball and go. Doesn't get any easier than that. I bought another one for backup,I think maybe some of the negative reviews may have been as a result of overloading, everything has its limits. If you're choking 12" logs for long distances, you need go up in size.

Choker chain
Works well but I recommend buying a “C-clamp” instead of using the attachment end for the tractor

Works well for hauling branches.
I own two of these big guys and also a smaller version and I probably abuse them by dragging large bundles of limbs along the asphalt street with a small diesel tractor on the way up to my mountain burn pile, and it does seem to fray as a result of the pavement dragging and leave sharp, wire barbs, and it also soon forms permanent loops and bends in the wire from the heavy loads, but other than that, it seems to be the only way to cinch up and drag a real load of branches, and I move a lot. The harder it pulls, the tighter it cinches the load. This cable works better than the smaller version as it is longer in length so that I can cinch a larger load of branches and still have room to hook up to the tractor. The shorter version would be fine for a garden tractor or ATV. Be sure to wear good, leather gloves when working with this bad boy. Time for me to buy another one.Hint: Lay down the cable first perpendicular to the load and then pile branches on top of it with several feet of overlap. Then feed and cinch the cable and attach it to the ball on the tractor. Really beats trying to feed this wet noodle under a large pile of limbs, even with the short probe.

low quality, broke the first time I used it
Useless product. The first time I used it, the cable came out of the clamp and made it useless. The process to make it is not good. I had to use good old fashioned straps that cost 1/3 of the cost. Can't return it, so don't but it!

Easy to use, works with the winch, perfect for moving heavy logs or removing a bush
Easy to use. The passing ends are bright and easy to see in a darkened area or while passing around a log.Perfect for moving a log or trying to pull some bushes. Priced right and easy to use.

Great idea, inadequate crimping
This product is a great idea. It works wonderfully when it work. So much better than wrestling with a chain like I have in the past.I used it to haul a half a dozen stacks of brush behind my ATV. On the last bundle the free end of the cable slipped out of the ferrule on one of the eyes rendering the tool useless until it could be repaired. Upon inspection of the ferrule, I determined it was not crimped properly. In fact, none of the ferrules on this tool are crimped adequately. They appear to simply be squished between two flat surface, possibly in a press, creating an improper and weak crimp. The ferrules are covered in heat shrink tubing so you don't notice they are not crimped well upon initial inspection or in any of the marketing photos.Ferrules crimped in the proper manner can carry 90-100% of the rating of their cable. This tool would be an easy 5 star rating if the crimps were done properly. I would suggest to the manufacturer that the invest in the appropriate crimping tools.

Fora large logs.
Really heavy duty this is for like 36" or larger trees. I tried to use it on 16" trees and it was too big, cable too unwieldy for small logs.

Good quality but used
The product is good, as described. In particular, the sizing of the rings and "bent poker" are well thought out to be able to use and to hold well. No crimping issues on mine (mentioned on some other reviews). Impressive combo of strong a compact/lightweight that I can keep under my seat of the UTV and have ready whenever needed. However, I clearly received a used and returned product. Box was squashed and taped shut. Choker cable had earth on it, and the rings were dirty. No big deal - functionality unimpaired, and they got a lot dirtier after my first use yesterday! But still, if one buys new, one expects new, or suitably cleaned and refurbished that you can't tell, rather than someone's return just taped shut and sent out again.

Be very careful
Be very careful with this product. The cable is a mix of steel wound around rope fibre. Mine broke on the 6th or 7th use of logs under 400 lbs.

Good quality, tough and reasonable price
Exactly what I wanted and very high quality…: Update: I used it once and put it back in the box and it sat for maybe a year before needing it again and when I used it the second time on an average 12” diameter cedar that was actually hollowed out in the center; it broke immediately and now it’s past the time for a return so I looked into buying another one but price jumped from the 60 I paid to 103 dollars now, not as impressive as first thought
