Sleeping Giant: A Call to the Church to Awake and Arise!

This book puts forward the position our National Church of Scotland is in and their function and voice in our government. Great read, particularly if you are a Christian. Great ethics throughout. Please get on board and help our voice be heard equally before it’s too late.

Sleeping Giant is a really inspirational book. It is so accessible. So much so, that on my initial reading, I read with such enthusiasm that I found myself shouting out loud in approval, at the call to act that Tommy Macneil delivers to the Church.This book challenges us all but most importantly it gives hope for the future.If we embrace God's call on our lives, relying on the Holy Spirit for guidance, the resulting domino effect will spread not only within our Churches but into the communities we live in. Tommy Macneil invites us to put love into action, to have faith and trust in the power of the Holy Spirit to help us complete the mission.I highly recommend that you read this book. Sleeping Giant calls us to change and rise up. Surely we can do this and partner with the God of the Universe who has given everything for us?

I bought this book and if your a Christian or on a journey to been a Christian this book is so enspiring

When something is broken, we either get it fixed or replace it…Tommy MacNeil provides a way to fulfil God’s desire that we would have -“eyes to see, ears to hear and a heart to understand.”

The teachings of the lovers of God are like living truth fliwwing from the fountain of life. Proverbs 10v11 May we have teachable hearts to receive and believe the truth. A must read

A great book, beautifully written, laying out what we/ our churches need to do to move forwards

A timely and much needed message for the church and all believers, which is both challenging and encouraging. Tommy MacNeil has an innate and profound ability to write with great clarity and power. Warning: this book is addictive; once you pick it up, you won't set it down. Refusing to dodge the difficult issues affecting the church today, the author brings the reader right back to who and what is central to the church and an individuals personal journey! The questions for reflection and prayer at the end of each chapter make this book an ideal tool for discipleship & life group studies. Buy it, you won't be disappointed.

Patronising, judgemental, arrogant. Avoid.
