Delicious, great texture, browns beautifully, does not melt!!!!!
My nephrologist suggested this as a replacement for meat. I can't thank her enough for telling me about paneer. I love it in cubes, either right from the fridge or browned with vegetables in an iron skillet. Out of this world! I bought a five pound block (pictured) and I'm buying two more today. Sooooooo good!!!Review update...The last time I bought this product, February 2020, 5lbs. was $24.00+ change. It is now, June 23rd and the price has more than doubled. It's really good, but it ain't that good!

A lot of good cheese here!
I follow the advice of another Amazon buyer and slice the block into 1/2" thick pieces and freeze for later. It thaws out easily and tastes great.

That's a lotta cheese!
My stomach was bigger than my brain when I bought this. You know how hard it is to eat FIVE pounds of cheese before it goes bad? And what happens to you when you eat that much cheese? It was good cheese though...

Expires in 2 months
It’s rude and unprofessional to sell a product expiring in 2 months. 5 pounds of cheese at almost $80 with an expiration date in 2 months is just plain wrong.

Great Paneer!
Great paneer. I have purchased many different brands of paneer over the years, and have made my own more times then I can count. This paneer has a great texture and taste and doesn't have any "extra" ingredients. Comes in one 5lbs brick, so I cut it into five pieces and froze and thawed them as needed.

Nice Paneer!
This is a nice firm Paneer that tastes good in my Indian cooking. It even squeaks a bit when chewing it after cooking in Ghee! I love having a big block of Paneer to portion and use as I know how much milk (and work) goes into making it from scratch. Will definitely get this again!

Good quality and pricy
Nice paneer. I bought it when the price was reduced for like 2 min I think. I wouldn't spend more than $30. Buy in local Indian stores if the price is beyond that.

Not really the kind of paneer I am used to
I was looking for the kind of paneer I ate growing up in Bangladesh (bright white, with holes, slightly moist, salted). This is not that. This has the consistency of plastic and no taste at all. Keeping it in a refrigerator, as indicated on the package, causes the exposed end to turn rock hard, so I have to cut and throw away a quarter-inch thick slice every time. Pan-frying softens it a little, but not much, and any flavor is from spices I add (e.g. paprika).
