It DOES work! Proof in photos!
I can't say enough THANKS to Fluval for making this product for people like me.Long review but PLEASE read if you're at your wits end!I'm fairly new into aquarium life, and recently upgraded to the biggest we could have which is a 40g breeder tank. Upon doing so, I messed up my cycle.. and crashed it hard core. So, impatient me decided to use TetraSafe Start Plus with concentrated bacteria... And impatient me also decided to double the dose, no big deal I thought the more the better. WRONG.2 weeks down the road, my tank was cycled but I believe what I caused was a HUGE bacteria bloom. (See photo exhibit A.)Enter countless water changes, no matter how many times per week I'd change out water, it would clear for a day or two and go back to major cloudy, milky, mess. I was so mad at myself!I tried Seachem Clarity first and that did absolutely nothing. Then after researching, I tried Aqueon Water Clarifier. Again, nothing. I was so frustrated and about to give up.. and then I found this product! In my desperate research, reading reviews some people said to do a water change first AS WELL as change your "filter floss" and then add the amount needed of said product. So, when Fluval Bio Clear arrived, I did 50% water change PLUS switched out my filter floss media with Fluval Quick-Clear, and THEN added Fluval Bio Clear, waited 48HRS with NO change, I was SO frustrated but... I decided to give it ONE more try. This time I did NOT do a water change, which meant I also did NOT add Seachem Prime. I don't know if these two products work against each other... BUT my tank is FINALLY 90% clear again after waiting another 48HRS and adding ONLY the Fluval Bio Clear. (See photo exhibit B.)I added another dose last night to hopefully clear it to 100% and then will probably do a water change and change out my Fluval Quick-Clear to just add one more extra sparkle. This is an 100% valid review! I hope this helps anyone who is about ready to throw their tank out the window like I was. Don't give up!Update to add my 3rd photo - After my 3rd dose of Fluval Bio Clear, my tank is sparkling like no other! Beautiful! A must try!!

Be patient - it works great!
So I had some a complete clean out of my tank and filters (water was crystal clear) and for a couple days after, the water was fine and then the cloudy mess happened. I ended up using "Acurel F" which is an organicly based quick fix product that once you start using it, you have use it EVERY day. And it's not cheep either. But what happened was my filters started growing this weird alge and the particles that that stuff would clump together started to gather like crazy all over everything. It was disgusting! Don't recommend that product at all even though for a few hours you get pretty water. It's also mildly acidic, and I used too much and some of my fish died :-( so I found this great stuff and it has been working like a charm. Slow process, but it did have A LOT of organic matter to start clearing out of my tank. Very happy so far and I'm on day 4 after the 2nd treatment on the evening of day 3. It doing its job for sure, and I feel so relieved. I will FINALLY have a pretty tank again. Highly suggested by me to you if need help with the water clarity. I'll post back again to give another update in a couple daysOk day 5 and my tank is crystal clear- absolutely stunning. Very happy and definitely recommend

Works, but needs to be fresh
Dealing with biological cloudiness in my tank for some time. The first one of these I ordered had a punctured foil seal under the cap, so I got a replacement. In the meantime I used the first one, with middling results - the water clouded up after using (as promised), but didn't really get much clearer afterwards. But with the fresh second one, it gets much clearer afterwards - a noticeable improvement. So this stuff does work for cloudiness caused by biological issues, but it needs to be fresh.

fluval line in general is great
Between the BioClear and the waste management additive, these are life savers for my goldfish. He was a fair fish that we got, and was very sickly and tiny. He is now 7-8 inches long. With that, he is a pretty messy guy.The only thing that keeps him from getting returning black spots is changing water every week, rinsing the rocks each time, and adding the Fluval additives.

Didn't work for my aquarium
3 stars because it didn't make any difference in the cloudiness of the water in my aquarium. Perhaps it wasn't the right product for the problem, but they make it sound like a miracle for any cloudy water situation.Didn't harm any of my fish that I can tell.

Really worked, I was surprised how well
1st day, I put product in tank with Fluval Biological Cleaner for Aquariums also. Don't know if that made a difference but it didn't hurt. 2nd day kinda noticed a slight change in water. 3rd day it looked pretty good. I figured this was end result. Nope 4th day looked even better. This is the 5th since I put in the product and my tank is crystal clear. I'm amazed, I'm really amazed that this product worked so well. I'm sold on this , I've tried SO MANY and wow. Makes me want to get more aquarium's, lol. I have two 36 gallon tanks right now. One planted that has algae problem so bad...will try product one it next. Will up date and see what happens. UV light works on it but not much else.

Ammonia spike, would not recommend
Used on two established tanks after adding fish and rearranging some of the decor. One tank became more cloudy after adding and the other spiked ammonia. I know both tanks were stable before adding this product because I'd tested a few hours prior and had not fed my fish. The only reason I realized there was a problem was because my betta started behaving strangely. Now, after multiple water changes and adding water conditionioner, I am waiting to see if I've done enough to save my Koi Betta. I immediately changed the water in the cloudy tank as well in hopes not to kill my platy's.
