I bought this for a cruise that I wanted to crochet on (yes, I wanted to crochet on a cruise :P). It was able to hold SO MANY skeins AND my work in progress. I took out most of the dividers inside so I could also include my project in progress. The feed holes in the top made it a dream to keep my skein in place while working. nothing worse than chasing yarn skeins and balls around while working!It was also my carry-on on the plane, so I also used it to hold keys, wallet, phone, and that kind of stuff and it worked great to hold SO MUCH. Completely safe for carry-on, fit under the seat just fine and the strap was wide enough to be comfortable.Can not recommend this enough for people who knit and crochet who want to travel with projects!

I haven't really toted this bag around as much as I thought I would, but it has held together pretty well so far since June. Has enough pockets for all the tools and yarn. It is perfect and exactly what I needed for my on-the-go crafting!
