Goes in very nicely. The stick feels dry to the touch like chalk, but once you start rubbing the engraved surface it goes in like a nice crayon. Not too runny, more like a modeling clay. Just what you need to fill in some engraved characters on a gun slide or frame. Go in all directions then just rub off the excess with a flannel and you have yourself a professionally looking fill-ins.

Seem well made. Surface prep is required though. Use acetone to clean off what you are using first, or it won't last.

I haven’t used mine yet, but for everyone saying they’re all dried up-that’s how they’re supposed to be. After MUCH searching online, I found instructions (that is a con of this product though-does not come with any type of instructions so I was very confused as well), and the way you use this “pen” is by using a blade or knife to cut off the end and make it into a rounded tip. Then just rub it into where you need the paint and wipe off the excess before it dries. After a bit the tip will harden back up and you will repeat the process when you want to use it next.
