Yugen blade guard 8-Inch Chef's Knife Blade cover protector for YUGEN Professional 8 Inch Chef Knife, Japanese style

Didn't fit a thing, went in the junk drawer (you never know).

Just purchased this for my shun kaji 8 inch chef's knife for professional use. It advertises that it fits all 8 inch chef's knives but barely makes it halfway down my blade.Disappointed.Updated: I received an email apology and full refund for the item. Increased review to 4 stars for excellent customer service.

Received this case for free as a gift for Yugen knife I bought. It matches the knife perfectly. The case is very useful as I keep the knife in the kitchen drawer. One day I had to bring the knife to work to cut the cake so I took it with the case of course and it was very convenient. Very nice and useful addition to the great knife.

for that knife the guard is not an option - it's a necessity..

It's an OK blade guard. Certainly overpriced, it should not cost more than a couple of bucks.I got it (as a sweetener) with a "YUGEN Professional 8 Inch Chef Knife". It fits this knife fine, it also fits a few other gyuto/Japanese-style chef knives I have (including an Ikea 365 chef knife).There are better options out there if you have to pay for it.

I bought two of these blade guards. They fit my blades securely and the size was perfect.
