Not sure what was worse the rod that keeps fraying my line or the reel that fell apart after about 15 casts
I bought this combo for trout fishing and was very disappointed. After about every fifth/sixth cast I noticed that the last foot of line is always frayed, I looked for a broken guide but they all look good not sure what the problem is there. The reel fell apart after about 15 casts.I just needed to replace/tighten down the nut under the spool not a big deal to fix but i shouldn't have to fix a brand new reel. After fixing the reel I tried it again on a different rod and while reeling in it started to feel like the gears were jamming ( I don't use anything bigger than 1/8oz.so it should handle it fine). The rod ended up in the garbage and the reel is in a junk drawer in the garage maybe some day I'll take it apart and try to fix it again.

I have used this thing twice now and it seems to do very well for a good priced rod, I have no issues with the reel or the rod it’s really smooth I’m using it as a panfish setup

First time I used it the rod broke above the ferrule where it goes together in 65 years of fishing never had this problem trying to get fixed under warranty will let know outcome
