I have a 2006 F150, and the right rear door would not open. I took the door apart and replaced the 4 cable ends in less than an hour with no modifications. I decided to be proactive and replace the ends for the left rear door and that went well. It probably took an hour, but one of the ends would not slide over the cable. I drilled it out and it worked fine.

Make sure you can access the lock and release mechanisms easily. You will need to see what you are doing. Best to remove the mechanism if possible. They fit tightly on the original cables once the oem molded plastic cable stops are removed. Some people drill them out, others sand the cable coating down a little.

I bought this old truck for my farm and the rear door was inop. God bless YouTube, I searched and found a quick fix with these after market parts. It was easy and quick, hardest part was getting to the cables.

It took about an hour to install these but they work.

These things work like a champ but you had better know what you are doing. Ends are great product but taking the stuff apart and putting it all back together was a challenge.

I am only giving four stars and not five because I had to modify every one I used. I have a 99 Ford E-250 and while these did work, I had open them further to fit the wire through. I also needed to trim a few of them fit in place. Other than that they worked fine.
