This product is a waist of money and time, and bad for nail beds. I purchased this to take off gel soak-off polish. I have been using tinfoil, which works pretty quickly, but not the best. Thought I would give these a try. Concept is great, product falls short. The thin cotton pads are so thin, they just can't keep the acetone wet long enough to get the polish off. I even reapplied the acetone two times, and still, dried out too fast. Used cotton balls as well, and while better, still did not work as well as tinfoil. I believe it is because the open clip allows air to penetrate the pad and cotton, quickly drying out the acetone. Also, the pads are too thin to keep much acetone on them. DO NOT PURCHASE for removing gel polish.

So I tried this for the first time and thought it was cute and all but honestly foil works better. The clips do not lock in the moisture of the acetone used to soak off the gel. I tried foil prior to this and it works faster. I would try once more to see if I use thinner cotton pads (not the ones they come with because it’s thick) to see if that locks the moisture of acetone against the toe nail, but not sure.

I love using these clips! I use cotton balls to soak up the nail polish remover and use the clips to hold the cotton against my nails. Before removing the gel nail polish, I use the nail file to file the top coat layer. This makes it easier to remove the gel nail polish. The pads that came with the clips come in handy when I clean my nails with the nail cleanser. I also use it to wipe off the top coat with a cleanser. Overall, this purchase was a great one!

Works perfectly with 100% acetone. The gauze they sent didn’t hold the solution well enough for me so I used make up pads and it was perfect. They take a good 20 min to soak in depending on how long you’ve had your gel on so be patient. Then use the scraping tool provided and it comes right off! Such a lifesaver!!

When I ordered this set I thought the finger tips were different so that is my error. I still used the set to remove my nail polish and was a little frustrated. The pads they supply don’t hold enough nail polish remover to remove gel polish. However regular polish yes. The emery boards were great and have a good grit to them. A great value for the money.
