Heavy-Duty Garden Knife That Does It All
Heavy-Duty Garden Knife That Does It All The Cielcera Hori Hori knife has become one of my most-used tools in the garden. Itโs basically a multitool for the soilโgreat for digging, cutting, planting bulbs, dividing perennials, and sawing through stubborn roots. The stainless steel blade is thick and full-tang, which gives it strength for prying without bending. One side is a straight edge, the other serrated, so you can dig or saw as needed. I really like the little details. The blade has depth markings for planting, and the handle feels solid with a protective guard to keep your hand from slipping. The included leather sheath is sturdy enough to clip onto a belt, and the sharpening rod is a thoughtful bonus for keeping the edge in good shape. Itโs sharp right out of the boxโsharp enough to cut through roots cleanly and even slice open bags of soil or mulch without struggle. After extended use, Iโve found the only things to watch for are the handle finish (a few buyers sanded it smoother themselves) and keeping track of the knife in the yard, since the darker wood handle can blend into leaves or soil. I added a bright cord through the lanyard hole so itโs easier to spot. At this price, it feels like a bargain compared to some of the higher-end hori hori knives, but it still delivers excellent quality and durability. Bottom line: A rugged, versatile garden tool that replaces several others. Strong, sharp, and thoughtfully designedโonce you use it, youโll wonder how you managed without one.

Great yard knife
This is a well made, tough yard knife! It's handy for digging and chopping small roots when weeding and planting.

Better than a gardening shovel
I think this is amazing for the price great for digging cutting until it gets dull of course but I was very pleased. I feel better having this on my hip with coyotes around.

Sharp Hori Hori Garden Knife
This is a great product. The Hori Hori Garden Knife is sharp. It came in a nice box (see attached photograph) which could be used as a gift box. When looking at different brands I noticed some of the other sheaths had rivets to keep the garden knife from slicing through the seam of the sheath. The Cielcera has a rubber spacer between the two halves (see attached photograph). This may be even a better way to protect the seam stitching. The blade is around 0.119 inches thick. It has a full tang handle. It has three rivets to hold the dark wood handle on. I have not tried the diamond coated rod. One of the rivets was high on one side and low on the other (see attached photograph). The high side rivet was hit which lowered the high side and raised the rivet on the low side. I was unable to contact Cielcera about other products they may produce. One star was deducted for my being unable to contact them.

A great gardening knife with 2 edges, sheath and sharpener
Gardeners need a strong sharp knife with serrated and smooth edges. And this comes with a sharpener and a very nice sheath.

Good value, high quality working garden tool.
Full tang with hardwood handle. Works well as a garden weeding tool. Very good value for the money. Highly recommended

Great tool but..
I've had my Cielcera for about 6 months now. The tool itself is perfect for cutting roots, digging the dirt etc. However the sheath has suffered considerable damage needing repairs multiple times (rivits falling out, buttons becoming unusable and leather ripping).

Left Handed Garden Machine
This is a left-hander's dream tool. Now, I'm a garden tool junkie and own just about every device out there. But I've held off owning a Hori Hori knife since I didn't really see the need to stab dirt and all that. I was originally thrown off by the "right serrated blade" designation. What this means is the saw blades are correctly oriented for a left-handed person for max gardening action. The company should do a better job pointing this out since I nearly missed this fact. The reason the saw teeth orientation is important is how one uses the sawing action of the blade. When repotting plants (and I own over 100 various fruit trees in large planters) you need to prune/saw roots. Being a lefty, you want to saw in a downward motion with your left hand, the convex side of the blade facing outward. With the saw teeth on the correct side, the left-handed hori works great in shaving off a few inches of roots from the side and bottom. In many ways, this is much better than a branch saw since the blade itself is incredibly thick with no flex. You're able to dig and stab and saw into the root ball without the flex a lesser saw would have. Construction is also surprisingly good. The handle looks like it's stained bamboo and the stainless steel blade is seriously thick. Leather scabbard is also quality, but I don't use it that much since it's kinda ridiculous having a knife strapped to my belt -- just leave the blade out and use it as needed, otherwise the neighbors might get spooked. Buy this if you're a lefty or know a lefty gardener.

My FAVOURITE garden tool. Itโs lasted ages now, been left out in cyclones & 2 wet seasons and still going strong. Itโs so handy and I just love it!

This actually looks quite sturdy and well-constructed. The finish is a little rough on the handle and the blade could use a good polish, but it almost gives it a bit of a rustic look and it's a beautiful knife overall. For something I'm going to stab into dirt and gravel, this is really perfect. An effective garden tool that you won't be afraid to actually use and abuse. The sharpener included has a pretty cheap and flimsy feel. I haven't tried using it yet, but it may even work. Luckily the knife is nicer than I expected so I'm not too concerned about the cheap sharpener.

Perfect for on your knees hacking at vines, digging out roots or making holes in hard soil. The heavy duty steel not stainless but plenty of life in its rigid build. Decent vinyl sheath
