When it comes to size, it all depends on if you are talking about swim shirts or regular shirts. Since it was a "swim shirt", I ordered a couple sizes up (XXXXL) since most swim shirts are very tight fitting. I did this because many reviewers on here said they run small. Hogwash! This is definitely a loose fitting "swim shirt" (compared to usual swim shirts). So in my opinion you will need to order only one size up from what you wear in a regular shirt. The shirt itself is nice looking although maybe a little too thick for my liking. It would probably be good for snorkeling but maybe too thick for the beach.

My husband wears large shirts, so I bought him a X-large and it fit perfect. The material feels sturdy and is smooth like swimsuit material. My husband loves his shirt. It wasn't clingy and it dried fast. It also has an UPF of 50 if you are out in the sun.Thank you for your great product!

Read several of the reviews before purchasing. I remember seeing one mention that the shirt was "heavy". And it certainly does feel VERY heavy. Until you put it on. I can't explain it. Very heavy in the weight until you wear it... then it feels like a regular t-shirt. Didn't need the shirt for a couple months, but I hope it is as comfortable in the sun/water as it was just trying it on. Also, I have a 68" chest...normal shirt for me (loose fit) is a 4x - 5x. I'm sooooooo glad I got the 6x. If you like a little bit of comfort, rather than the form-fitting... get a size up or two than what you normally wear.

Did schlitterbahn waterpark for 2 days straight in 100 degree weather and straight sun. No sunburn. What you should know is that if you are questioning between an XL and XXL just go with the XXL. It doesn't run small but unless you want it a little tight you should just go XXL.

This is a great product. I used to have a black rash guard and the lifeguards at the pool kept telling me normal T shirts were not allowed. I would have to show them the logo to satisfy them. This shirt is better than that one. It is higher quality (yet cheaper). I am hopeful the water logo will indicate to the power tripping lifeguards that this is actually a swim shirt.I have used it in physical therapy in a water tank and it did great. It washed well and I hung it to dry like the instructions indicated and it dried fast.It runs true to size of a normal T shirt (not small like normal rash guards) so if you want a smaller one, order a size smaller. I like it just the way it is.Perfect rash guard!

I have used this shirt for three summer seasons and it is still looks like new even though it has been subjected to saltwater, chlorine pools, and plenty of sunshine. It is very comfortable, is not hot, retains it shapes, and drys quickly. I like it so much that I ordered the long sleeve version for those really hot and intense summer days.

I am a middle-aged man on the heavy side and I wanted a shirt that wasn't tight. I tend to wear my T-shirts lose anyway and range between an XL and an 2xl.I read that even though the shirts were meant to be loose fitting, they still ran a little tight. I bought the 3X and it fit fine. Maybe A bit tighter for my taste but like I said, I like my shirt little bit looser than most.

I don't like swimming in the ocean without a shirt for a few reasons (sun exposure and I need to lose a few pounds) and this shirt made me comfortable. I stayed protected from the sun and felt comfortable being in and out of the water with it on. Like all swim shirts it clings a bit when in the water but you can easily pull it away from your skin. And this shirt dries fast. Head out of the water to sit in a chair and watch the waves and it seems like only a few minutes before it is dry again. I love this shirt and would recommend it for sure.

I bought this because I was holidaying in the Caribbean and several months before going had been diagnosed with a form of skin cancer and had been advised to limit my sun exposure due to this. This sun top was great, it was worn whilst swimming and I cannot recommend this enough for anybody who seeks to limit sun exposure, has a skin issue, or just seeks to protect their back from the sun when swimming. I used it for hours of snorkelling and it was just great. Dried in a matter of moments. Highly recommended.

I have never been near the water in this. It is so amazingly cool and comfortable everywhere, which I expect to remain so on the beach and in the surf. Made me wish I was younger; bought it anyway.
