Finally, a laser sighting system that works!
I've tried several of the cheap laser sighting systems, in the $30-50 range. None of them worked worth a crap. They all gave different readings each time they were inserted into a firearm, felt cheap, and were difficult to change the adapters for different calibers. This system may be a little on the expensive side, however you get what you pay for. It's excellent in every way. The build quality feels solid, you get the same aim point every time you insert the laser into a bore, and the caliber adapter O-Rings work very well, and are very easy to install consistently. (Unlike the little screw-on adapters that so many of the other ones use, which break and change sizes depending on how you screw them on.)Yeah, it costs a lot. But, I also shoot a lot, and I like guns. So I felt it was worth the investment, and after using it sight in a few rifles of higher caliber, it will pay for itself in ammo savings. I plan to let others use it too, to help make the cost worth it. (I'm going to be there to help them, as there is no way I will let this precision tool out of my sight!)The adapter for aligning a scope's cross hairs is a nice feature - just slide it over the end, and you get a straight-line laser on the wall, which you can use to make sure your scope is mounted exactly horizontal. Nice touch.Like so many things in life, you get what you pay for, and buying quality tools is always worth it, in my opinion. I could have bought two or three of these with the money I spent on crappy laser sighting systems. Don't make my mistake, just buy this one to start.(Tangent: I personally suspect that at least one review on here is from the manufacturer or someone who works for them - just my suspicion. However, I still took the chance on it, and I am pleased with it. And, I'm a real guy who has nothing to do with these folks. Honest review.)

I wish I could give it 6 stars...
You get what you pay for when it comes to some things, and the SiteLite SL-100 definitely proves my point. The boresighter seems to be constructed using the upmost quality control. It has an excellent instruction booklet, giving different methods of bore sighting in your firearm. In my opinion, what sets it apart from other brands of laser boresighters are two things in particular.First, it comes with access to SiteLite's "Ballistic Targeting System" Software. Most any cheap boresighter will work to get your firearm "on paper" at 50 yards, then you can shoot ammo to finish dialing in your scope. No problem doing this, but unless you are shooting cheap 22LR bullets, ammunition is expensive, and taking multiple shots all day to sight in your gun adds up quickly for the wallet. SiteLite has software that allows you to input in your rifle model, the brand and type of ammunition you are using, scope hieght from the barrel and distance you desire to be sighted in for. It then prints out a target specific for that one application. After doing this, you will be within 1/4 inch most times, requiring very little fine tuning of the scope. The software will even calculate custom hand-loaded ammunition, you can input the grains of powder your using, bullet shape/type and bullet weight. The second thing that I think sets them apart is their customer service. I happen to have an IMac computer, and even though they have software downloadable for both PC and MAC, my Mac wouldn't open the software correctly due to some security settings. I went to SiteLite's website, called customer service. Not only did they explain how to make the software work, the gentleman on the phone took down the info on what guns I was boresighting, and custom made three different targets for me, emailed them to me for me to print out. He then said to just email him anytime I ever have trouble making a custom target and he would make one for me. Excellent customer service like that isn't found with cheap imported products.I wish I could give this thing 6 stars, and am definitely very happy with my purchase.

laser would not illuminate UPDATE New replacement arrived 20hrs. later!
Below you will find the first issue. I received the replacement within 24 hrs! Actually about 20 hrs.! The replacement works great. Still came with batteries installed which is perplexing to me but there was no issues found when I checked battery compartment. I am not going to speak to the accuracy as that I have used two different ones that friends have and both worked flawlessly so I have no concerns as to how this one will work. I will say that after using the friends units there was no further adjustments needed once out at the range. These units along with the program that works with them are by far the best I have encountered. Just as long as you have the correct parameters for the firearm and ammo inputed you will have excellent results. The more info you input the better! I also want to give the delivery a big thumbs up as well! There is some confusion when delivering to my address as that sometimes the shop behind my house is where they are being directed to deliver to and it is behind a gate. The delivery guy was training a new driver so it was a good learning experience for him to see how to handle the situation. He even went above and beyond to show me what I should put in the delivery instructions for my house.Overall this has been an excellent experience!I received this today but laser would not activate. I tried two sets of new batteries still no joy. I did find it odd that this came with batteries installed. There was no corrosion and those batteries tested good in tester. I believe laser may be burned out. Contacted Amazon though text first then used return/replace option. A new unit is already showing to deliver tomorrow. I'll update when I get replacement. This unit is by far the best unit to use for setting up your firearm. I have friends that have one and have used many different types of sighting tools. This company and their program they developed makes this accurate you really do not need to go to range to verify. Hopefully the replacement works and I can come back and change to 5 stars......
