First off, I want to thank the author, Giana Darling for writing this wonderful beautiful story.I just can't stop thinking about Zeus, the 36-year-old hero with a dark reputation and a heart like no other soul I’ve read about and a loyalty to his family including his “brothers” of The Fallen MC to which is he Club President that is unwavering.Then there is 17-year-old Louise (Loulou) the heroine, a beautiful young woman who has a heart filled with love and lust and who has carried a torch for her much older knight in shining armor, Zeus, since he rescued her from a shooting when she was 7 years old and road off on his chrome and steel horse with her on the back and delivers her to safety.Their unusual friendship/relationship spans over 10 years. During some of that time, they kept in touch in a most unique way (I’m not telling but it’s priceless and humorous in a way only a growing 7 year old can be). Also during that time, Loulou suffered through a life-threatening illness, and was subjected to abusive and neglectful and selfish parents.But because of her uncertain future, Lou has decided to take the bulls by the horns and live her life to the fullest. She determined to go after what she wants before time runs out and what she wants is her knight and she is hell bent on getting him even as he fights her every step of the way. Even while being treated for her illness in secret.Zeus tries to do the right thing and stay away from someone as young as his daughter, Harleigh Rose and 18-year-old son King. But he finds that task difficult as more time goes on, especially when a certain 17-year-old bombshell is relentless in her pursuit of happiness.“ ….I smoothed a hand down her hair and twisted it all up in one of my hands so I could tug it back and force her eyes to mine. They unveiled like heavy curtains, the kinds in old movies theaters my Uncle had taken me to as a kid. Glamorous. That was the old Hollywood word for what Lou was, all woman, all sass, all f***’in’ gumption all the time with a sweet center just for her man. Just for me.”Zeus is the epitome of all things forbidden and everything a girl could ever hope for. Zeus stole my breath away. Good grief he is so swoon worthy that he makes my knees weak and my toes curl. He’s also so very alpha and bossy and take charge. He most definitely lives up to his namesake, Zeus, the god of the sky and ruler of the Olympian gods. He’s just badass is all……. You just want to take a bite out of him because he’s just so yummy and he never backs down. Interestingly enough, neither does Loulou which makes this pairing so much fun.The best way I can describe him is that he’s rough around the edges, so alpha, but once you burrow yourself inside his heart, he’s all soft and gooey in the center and tastes sinfully delicious. But only with Loulou. He’s the MC President after all….. In short, He’s the perfect “smores”.I don’t want to give anything away, but I will say this, Zeus is a fierce and loyal protector of his little warrior and once he has a change of heart and gives into temptation, once he loves, he loves BIG and will do anything and everything to help the woman he so cherishes as he fights her demons and nothing and I mean NOTHING better stand in his way. I’ll give you a little teaser taste of how he feels for Loulou.As he looks down at her in bed while she sleeps, he thinks to himself….“…. that girl lying in that bed was mine the way a sculpture created by an artist was his. I’d formed her soft clay shape with my words then cast it in copper with my hands and finally she’d settled in her current shape. A little warrior rebel with the soul of an angel in the body of a sinner. A contradiction and the most beautiful one ever born in nature.”The chemistry between Zeus and Loulou is off the charts and so intense and sexy, that at times, had my girly bits standing up and taking notice. Blazing hot and I would expect nothing less from this couple.But what happens when he finds out Lou’s secret? Will he show her the way love was meant to be? Especially given the sickness that takes over her body? You bet he does…… And when he does, your heart will burst into a million shards. But don’t you worry, those shards are filled with a love like you’ve only dreamed about. The support, love and guidance he shows her will break you in the most wonderful and intense way…..Another teaser….. During a pivotal moment and one of my favorite scenes, Zeus looks to her and says…………………“I’ll love you even when you don’t.”I won’t tell you why he said that because you need to experience that moment for yourself. Because, by God, his love for his Loulou, His little warrior, is UNFREAKINGBREAKABLE and he will run over ANYONE who stands in his way. That includes, his children (ok well, he won’t run over them but he will fight them for acceptance), Loulou’s parents, especially her verbally abusive and uncaring father who just so happens to be the towns Mayor, the police and other political figures as well as a rival MC club determined to take over The Fallen’s territory.But make no mistake about it, Loulou is just as determined and loyal to Zeus. Their bond is rock solid.What happens when her parents, townspeople and rivals find out about their secret relationship? I’m not telling but it is absolutely heart stopping. I will just say that this book does not lack in excitement. You’ll be sitting on the edge of your seat gripping the arms of the chair just waiting as the plot thickens.The authors writing is brilliantly done and keeps you completely engaged and engrossed throughout the entire book.This book transformed me into a deep puddle of emotions where I found myself drowning in my pool of tears made from the best ugliest cries I’ve ever had. I mean really, how many ugly cries can a girl have reading one book? Well let me tell you how many…..TONS!I loved the fact you get to see more of King, Cress and Harleigh Rose from Lessons in Corruption which I absolutely loved. My favorite supporting character in this story is Mute, a vital club member and best friend to Zeus’s son King. I just absolutely adored him. The entire club stands behind Loulou in her quest for survival. They band together is one of the most emotional scenes in this book. All I can say is you better make sure you have a few boxes of tissues handy. You’ll need every last one. All of Loulou’s friends, especially Reece also won a spot in my heart.And Zeus, he shows her that there is an abundance of light and love even during the most darkest of times.As a result of reading this gritty, raw, intense and devastatingly beautiful story, I was gobsmacked in the face with overpowering emotions, pushed to the brink of madness of the very best kind and ended with my heart being torn to shreds, and then Zeus came and sewed my heart back together with a force of nature only he could produce.Welcome to the Dark Side holds the spot as my favorite book for 2018 to date and Zeus is now my all time favorite Hero. He’s completely ruined me for all others that follow. I was screaming the entire book.The 19 year age gap concept???? Questionable. Starting it off with the female main character meeting him at 7 years old. 🤮 Horrible. Disgusting. Cringey. Electric chair. And yet, much like a train wreck I could NOT look away. And was so invested in their letters to each other. Even though she was a literal child. I just couldn’t deny that they were so weirdly perfect for each other. And then by the end I was like awwww how cute. Let’s be honest though, there are more depraved books out there. They waited until she was almost legal… 😂But I’m getting ahead of myself here. The premise: Louise Lafayette is seven years old walking down the street with her family when all hell breaks lose and shots start flying. She and her family find themselves the midst of a gunfight between members of a notorious Motor Club. Her own father let’s go of her in the chaos to protect himself and that’s when Louise finds herself being grabbed by someone from behind. She manages to kick her way to freedom and locks eyes with Zeus Garro. Instantly she feels the connection and starts running towards him, somehow knowing that he’ll risk his life to save her. Despite his efforts to protect her, they both end up getting shot by the same bullet. Louise wakes up in the hospital and learns that 1) Surprise! She has cancer. 2) Garro killed the man that grabbed her.The two cross paths again in the hospital when Louise seeks out her “Guardian Monster”. She discovers that Garro is due to be imprisoned for his involvement in the gunfight. Louise feels she’s in his debt and questions how a man who saved her could be punished. And thus an unlikely friendship is formed. And that’s all just in the first few chapters. To say we jump into the action is an understatement.I read this book first in the series. It functions nicely as a standalone and I didn’t feel like I missed any key details. To be perfectly honest, I skipped the first book in the series because the concept was just too weird for me. Somehow a high school teacher and her student really crossed a line for me. And yet, here I was reading about a man that basically raised his girlfriend. But here’s where I’ll try to rationalize it and pretend it’s not horrifying. Yes, Garro spends a majority of the book acting as a somewhat father-like figure in Louise’s life, but he’s very careful to not cross any boundaries and tries his hardest to shield her from the cruelty of the world. Like I said, they even ALMOST wait until she’s legal. And thankfully all the characters acknowledge how messed up it is lol. I’ve never seen a more self aware book. 😂 Garro knows he’s got questionable values, but tries very hard to do the right thing. It’s good ole LouLou makes it very hard to resist.This isn’t going to be everybody’s cup of tea and that’s totally okay. I wrestled with my own conscious for a while, this book had me questioning my whole life. I had to accept that it’s just a book. The concept is weird, and would be horrible in real life but when you sit down and just remember THEY AREN’T REAL PEOPLE—it makes for good entertainment. The smut was intense, but the snarky jokes was even better. There were so many lines that made me laugh out loud. And the constant daddy jokes sent me into a new dimension. The pacing is a little weird, it hits a bit of a lull and then explodes at the end. But I felt like it kept me interested a large majority of the time.The book was such an interesting mix of taboo and also weirdly endearing. A majority of the characters are so likeable. They all have such vivid personalities and the way they function as a family is heartwarming. As Louise grows closer with the members, I was getting to know them too. By the time things went terribly wrong, I felt their losses like my own. There was a point where I was fully sobbing. And I was sitting here thinking, how on earth is raunchy MC book is making me cry like this?I find it hilarious that the next book in series is actually labeled as age gap in the title 😂 I guess after two age gap books people must have been shaking in their boots and needed the warning upfront. I’m pretty excited to continue the series even though it’s a wild ride

The good - Well written with well scripted characters. As individual characters I was interested in Zeus, Louise, HR and Mute. Not so interested in Cress or King though. Also, if you forget the age gap, the bed scenes are hotThe bad - Some of the plot lines don’t make much sense/ ring true. For eg, her father hates the MC and Zeus and her mother seems to go with her father but then the mother of the heroine and the grandfather of the heroine (without much drama or reason) flip over to support the 17 yr old marrying as 36 yr old. Also, it’s a bit longThe ugly - the age gap is too much (19 yrs) and it’s constantly mentioned that he raised her from when she was a 7 yr old child. The ick factor that comes with that is really bad. As a result I just wasn’t invested in their story and didn’t really care much for their romance

Wow!I must say, I am not a big fan of MC stories- not really sure why but it’s not my go to but this book! Zeus!What an epic character! Big of life, love, vengeance! He’s just massive (being 6’5 didn’t hurt either haha).And bless lil Loulou, she literally dug her claws in and would not release this poor man. What a very weird meet where he basically saved her life in so many ways but in all the ways that mattered she gave him back his.What to expect?Swearing (lots of it, absolutely fabu!)Smexing (even actions leading to smexing was pure fire)Gang-ish (it is a MC book after all)Lots of brotherly love, loyalty and just togethernessI REALLY enjoyed this book! And GD is a new to me author so now I need to stalk her life.I 100% loved the hell out of this book!! I want more!

Wow this book has taken my heart and wrung it out dry. What an amazing ride this book has taken me on. I thought the first book; Lessons In Corruption was good, I gave it 5 stars but this story was phenomenal and deserved 10 stars and more.This story spans the years of when the president of The Fallen MC club Zeus Garro takes a bullet for a seven year old Louise when she gets caught up in a fight between rival gangs. When he gets sent to prison for the murder he committed we read the letters exchanged between Zeus and the young Louise over the years and how the connection and friendship between the two grow, I fell in love with this bear of a man the minute I started reading about him, he was so alpha, so sexy yet so biker bad ass too. Perfectly imperfect in all ways !!! The character Louise was another amazing person to explore. That girl knew exactly what she wanted and set her heart on getting it. There was nothing seedy about how this panned out but just absolute perfection to read how these two characters come together - they were made to be together even though there was a nineteen year age gap. The chemistry, the gravitation, that magnetic pull between these two people was just so erotic, beautiful and perfect to read that it made me cry in parts, and yet feel totally frustrated in other ways. His dirty sexy mouth made me squirm he was so utterly sexy I wanted to climb him like a monkey, the sex scene's were scorching hot - it was just amazing writing.Secondary characters like dear Mute, HR, Nova and Reece just added to the enjoyment of this wonderful story.All in all this book was perfection and a bad ass MC book just how they should be done, full of violence, passion, love, hate, anger, betrayal but most of all it shows us how even the most hardened of men put loyalty and family first. Zeus Garro is one of the best characters I have read. Tattooed and built like a mountain, tough and afraid of no one and would kill a man with his bare hands if he felt the need and yet would go to the ends of the earth to protect his family, his woman and his biker brothers. Yep Zeus Garro is THE man and this story is one I will NEVER forget. !!!!

What can I say about this book to give it the credit it is due. Its a rollercoaster ride of emotions from the start to the end. This love story starts young and grows in the heart of a neglected child for a man society says is wrong for her. This book will have you in tears of enjoy, sadness and complete and utter despair. I had so much hope for the lost character in this story and it gutted me to the core when the time came. This was a puzzle piece fitting together to see who was behind the scenes causing chaos for the fallen and some you would be surprised at. Amazing read, so worth the tears. On to book 3.

This is seriously becoming one of my top favourite series EVER.We met the son in Lessons in Corruptions and now it was time for the dad to find his HEA.Little bit about the book:Fate, Luck, Carma-whatever you might call it, brought Loulou and Zeus together when the latter (26 at the time) saved a 7 year old Loulou from dying by putting himself in frond of a bullet.Now 10 years later, Loulou can't forget her guardian monster, and Zeus starts noticing that the little girl he saved once is not, in fact, a girl anymore.Still the problem remains that Loulou is the mayor's daughter, the arch enemy of Zeus's MC Club that tries to destroy them. Plus there is war coming towards the club when bad stuff start happening.Can these two make it happen? Can they have a future in the real world?I loved this book. I'm in love with Zeus (wich it was expected) but I also loved Loulou. Her strong character, the darkness in her soul that attracted Zeus, her strenght to go through two chemos and come out stronger and her undying love for Zeus Garro and his club made her more mature for her 17 years and I loved that about her.Now Zeus was..... Zeus- the God of Thunder. Broody, Unapologetic, and Killer. He was everything a prez of an mc club should be (if I ever knew or saw one).Giana Darling has an incredible gift of writting very yummy men. Seriously yummy. Like, chocolate cake with a vanilla ice cream scoop on top yummy.I TOTALLY recommend not only this book but the whole series. Me personally, I stoped reading it on KU and bought it so it can go on my Fav shelf on my kindle and read it whenever I want.
