Plot is a mess
First of all, this book ends on a cliffhanger. That's usually annoying and it certainly is in this case.Second, and more importantly, the plot doesn't really make sense. Eve "sells" herself to an MC because her family needs money following her father's suicide. The reason she's able to do this is because her ex-boyfriend is the son of the president of a local MC. Despite hating him and hating the idea of being with multiple men, she decides to do this . . . despite the fact that men universally find her impossible to resist and there are probably multiple other ways she could quickly make money using her attractiveness that would allow her more control and autonomy. NOPE, it's right to selling herself to the club. The club she makes the deal with "gifts" her to another club, where she's promptly claimed by Drex, the son of the club president. But everyone else in the club distrusts her because her father stole $80 million from them before killing himself (but somehow, despite doing extensive research on him, they were unaware he had a wife or several children). The plot barely hangs together.

Cannot wait for more. Love Eve and Drex
Absolutely loved this first in the series.Eve only wanted to help her family and only knew one person that had the money to help her, her best friends father, Benny, the president of the Hell Breathers MC. Unfortunately, he decided to give her to a rival MC for information they had on one of his own ‘brothers’.Drex is the VP of Death Dealers MC and isn’t happy to be meeting with his MC’s rival but his father, Herrin, has set up a meeting to exchange information they have for a girl. This girl is the unknown daughter of an accountant who almost succeeded and in robbing them of millions of dollars but he committed suicide before they could get their revenge. Drex does not trust the girl and he hasn’t even laid eyes on her. Does she work for Benny? Is she planning on continuing her father’s plan to steal from them?Once Eve is handed over to Drex she knows her life will never be the same, if she actually survives that first week. No one trusts her and things keep happening with the club that makes it harder to gain their trust. So many want her gone. Permanently. The men think she’s too much trouble. The girls do not like her because they believe she sold herself to the club. She did, but not the way they think. From the moment he sets eyes on this way too innocent girl, Drex is drawn to her. There’s something about her that brings light into his dark world. The more time he spends with her, the more he believes she’s truly an innocent in all of this but there’s way too many coincidences to rule her out as being a spy and with the Feds knocking at the door he decided to keep her really close.Eve is ashamed at how attracted she is to Drex and starts to see this as a very unconventional relationship. It’s the only way she believes she can get through this sexual relationship with Drex. She begins to see him as someone not to fear but as someone she could possibly fall in love with. That scares her more than knowing people want her dead.I love how this story develops and how each of the characters are introduced and remain throughout the novel. It’s highly addictive and draws you in from the very beginning. It’s a fast paced book that keeps you entertained not only with the passion these two share but the mystery and danger involved as too what is really going on behind the scenes. I’m definitely a huge fan and will continue reading this series as it comes out.

Not too shabby!
At first it just moved too fast, I was concerned, but the storyline was good so I kept going. I'm glad I did! Now I'll go read #2.

Emotionally charged story of what you will do for your family.
First, the cover is hot! Let's get that right out there. Whoever designed it and whoever was the model, whoever picked the model.... Really good job, plus the background is just right I think.Okay, now about the inside of the book. I can see how Eve could feel no other option and be under that much pressure and there is a lesson in there to anyone thinking of suicide.Secondly, Benny is a dick of the first order. Other than actually giving them the money but somehow I don't see it lasting but we will have to wait to book 2 to find out about that.So Eve's dad committed suicide and her mom is not in good physical condition after a wreck that killed Eve's sister and really messed up her mom's leg. In committing suicide he left them with absolutely nothing but bills and the mom is having to work multiple jobs just to put food on the table for herself and Eve and her little twin brothers. They took the car that morning and the house is next. Eve's friend, Ben, that she's grown up with suggested asking his dad for some money to help. He is with an MC. He tells her yeah but she will have to basically sell herself for the rest of her life for the money. She has 2 days to think about what her answer will be. After her mom's car has been taken and the pantry emptied she can't let her mom and brothers live like this because she cannot deal with them being homeless and the burden it's going to leave her mother under. So she says yes. She is now officially property of Hell Breathers and they can do what they want when they want. She has mentally tried to prepare for this and is amazingly calm and collected when she goes to get on Benny's bike. What she isn't prepared for is that they are giving her to another club as a peace offering, the Death Dealers. They are happy to have her because she is daughter of the man who stole $80 million from them. But she has no clue. The rest is quite a surprise from there and there are not all bad moments of this. This book has funny parts, scary parts, and highly emotional parts. Now I just want to know what else is happening. On to book 2.

Awesome Read
This is the first book in the Death Chasers MC and a second time read for me. I am a huge fan of this author and love all her series this one is no different.Eve is in desperate need of money after her father committed suicide leaving her mother and twin brothers with mounting medical bills and getting through each day is becoming a struggle feeling that she has no other choice she approaches her best friend Ben’s father Benny in hope of him helping her as the president of Hell Breathers MC he agrees to help her as long as she agrees to his terms and that includes her body and future. Seeing this as her only option to get her father out of the financial trouble that they are in she agrees. But Benny has a different plan to the one she was expecting, she is to be his gift to a rival MC The Death Dealers. Eve is about to enter a life that she knows nothing about and a world that she never thought she would belong in. Will she survive or will this life and its secrets destroy her or make her stronger?Drex is the son and vice president of the Death Chasers MC, he is sent to pick up a gift for his father but once he gets an eyeful of the gift decides he wants to keep her for himself, especially when he finds out her father was the man that tried to steal from the club a few years ago he plans to take his revenge on her body. What he isn’t expecting is to want to spend time with her and it’s not long before he decides to claim her as his and no one is to touch her. He’s confused by his growing feelings for her and his possessive claim on her. It’s a fabulous read and although it finishes on a cliff hanger (Which is really not my fave thing) it’s worth reading, watch as the tough biker learns to trust a girl who truly is selfless, sweet and brave. If you are looking for a book to read quickly, hot and thrilling but at times also sweet then dive in in fact READ IT ANYWAY…………

Eve is in a bad situation. Her father commits suicide and leaves her ...
I'm officially "Property of Drex"!!!! he's mine!!! I'm getting the tattoo to prove it!!!OMG what a start to a new series!!!!This is the first in the Death Chasers MC series and it's about Vice President of the Club Drex. He's the son of the president thought of as the most dangerous of the club as he shoots first then thinks later. He's a real hot head who cares about nothing or no one. He takes what he wants and goes on his way.Eve is in a bad situation. Her father commits suicide and leaves her family in a load of debt they can't get out of. She goes to her friend asking if his dad might be able to help her. His Dad is the president of a rival club to Drex and he offers her a deal for the money which she readily takes. She has no choice her family is about to lose everything. This deal finds her being offered up as a peace offering to Drex's club.I won't go into any more detail and spoil it for you. But I'm really really excited for this series!! This is a shorter book and will be concluded in book 2 which is full length. There is a slight cliff hanger but we haven't got long to wait for book two so I'm all good with that!!!.Drex is sexy and bad**s what more do you want from a biker?? The dark hair and blues eyes matched up with tat's gets me every time. Eve is just coming into her own at the end of this book and I'm really looking forward to seeing how she turns out. She's biding her time in this book for survival but there are glimpses of what she could be and i like her a lot!!This is darker than this author usually goes and I'm so loving it!! Just enough dark and twisted for an MC novel but not so much it's too dark to enjoy. The story is fast paced and kept me interested from the get go! Within a few chapters i was a little scared and worried and then went to wet and panting over Drex!! Holy s**t he can search me any day of the god damned week!!! I was gripped to the club dynamics and meeting some of Drex's friends but I'm having my doubts about some of them being friends so I'm eager to find out who can be trusted.I would highly recommend this book to anyone it's not so dark as to put people off but it's dark enough for seasoned readers of MC romances. What an awesome way to start a series!!! Bring on Book 2 and more of my man Drex!!

Property of Drex
Oops. I guess I forgot to submit a review for this the first time I read it. Nevertheless, here it is now.The book was just as good as the first time. If anything, I've spotted more mistakes than the last time I read it, and that's just because I've actually been paying more attention to the writing. (More onto this later.)Drex and Eve, and their relationship, well, they were a strange mix. At least, in the beginning. They develop as a couple pretty nicely, and book 2 is even better in that aspect.I love Eve's constant battle of contradicting feelings. It's funny, albeit a little frustrating. It adds to her helpless character, though. Her backbone shows way more in the second book, thankfully. As for Drex, I slightly didn't like him at the start, but that was warranted. Of course, he was way better than Benny and his idiot of a son Ben (who I'd love to strangle), and managed to keep Eve as safe as possible.Onto the writing part now. Not many mistakes, but most of them were silly. For example, C.M. clearly knows how to use an ellipsis (" ... surprisingly"), but she sometimes used capital letters instead of lowercase after one (" ... Even"). Throughout the book, she used the serial comma correctly, with the exception of this sentence: "swear, beer and smoke".The other mistakes:> "How he makes the world vanish and distract me ... " instead of distracts* me.> "The depths of depravity I would have to face isn’t worth it." Aren't* instead of isn't.> "My situation also don’t fall under the guidelines". Doesn't* instead of don't.> "Instead of trying deal with". Trying TO* deal with.> "Seven!!" Um ... one exclamation mark is needed. Any more, and someone's writing becomes rubbish. The extra exclamation mark is redundant.> Don't even get me started on the "might should" and "might can" stuff. Yikes. A better alternative to either: 'Maybe I should'/'Maybe I can'/'Might be able to'/etc.There was one sentence which contradicted itself:> Axle was talking about the 'mess' he made, and Eve was thinking this: "I don’t know what he’s talking about, but he seems more proud than apologetic." Then all of a sudden, she thinks this on the next page: "I know he handled that muscled-up barbarian with little effort."How does she know what Axle did if she didn't know what he was talking about earlier and there was no information between the two pages to indicate she learned what he did. Contradicting and confusing.Awesome book. Totally recommend it. Off I go to re-read 2, and then read 3. Eek!

WOW WOW WOW!
This book is unlike anything C m has written that I have read and I LOVE IT!! So good! I'm already a huge lover of MC romances so when I knew C m was writing one, I couldn't wait to read it. The book is dark, and rightly so. It hovers just above gut-wrenching without making you feel sick, yet you still have the butterflies in the stomach moments (LOTS of these) it's gritty, with some really mean badass characters that you certainly wouldn't want to meet down a dark alley or maybe you would ?! And then there are those you just wouldn't want to entertain at all. AT ALL.C m has the tone of this book absolutely spot on. Yes it ends on a cliffhanger but it's not so short that you don't get the whole jist of the story, C m has given us plenty to go on! Don't forget, this IS a romance with one hot sexy biker and I for one cannot wait for book 2! Go ahead a read this book- it'll be our dirty little secret 😉

..
I'm not sure what I was expecting on this book but it definitely wasn'tanything I thought it would be.Drex was everything you love to hate!. There are many times throughoutthis book I could have throttled him however there is also time you just want to kiss the face off him for being such a sweetie!.Don't mistake that for him being soft though because than man is hard in all ways(pun intended 😉).Eve is equally frustrating because while at times she comes across fragile and weak there is time you see that spark fly and you just know there is more than meets the eye. Also have mad respect for someone who's willing to go to the lengths she did to protect her family. The story isn't a typical MC vibe but it's definitely got that hard to swallow lifestyle that comes with it. Some of the characters are less than desirable but they all make for a great story. It's seamlessly written and addictively gripping from the start. It's written in two POV's both Eve and Drex's, and the author did a great job with both. You really get a good feel of both character and it's not choppy or confusing. This does end in a cliffy and while writing the review I have already read the next story so I know what happens..On a series note though this is a series to watch out for. I loved the sterling shore series and this is definitely on par with how great the stories are.On to the next book ...
