I got this to add a sub to my car. It connects to the door speaker cables and you have a volume control for the sub that sits under the dash, so you can control the bass level.I didnt want to change my head unit, and because this plugs into my existing wiring, it was the ideal solution.

I will start by saying that i installed this in my 2016 Mustang which is only used during summer, about 4 months and is not daily driven. The first unit i installed worked about 2 weeks before it failed and stayed on constantly which kept my amp powered up and draining my battery. This year i bought a new one and used it to activate a small relay to activate my amp hoping it would be an easier load to drive. Within days it would not shut off power to my relay. I warrantied that unit and am now on my third which so far is still working fine. The only other issue is that it is very sensitive on the input and any kind of electric noise turns it on and wakes up my amp. A sensitivity adjustment would be ideal ,or a filter inside it so it only reacted to certain frequencies. The up side is i can drive my sub amp off the high level rear speakers.

I've installed a few of these LOC's before.This one sadly didn't work. Spent too much time troubleshooting - waste of time.Used a DMM to test the direct inputs/outputs, nothing despite confirmed power to the LOC.

Decent quality for price , not great.I'm happy enough.
