brought my old drill back to life
I have had an old rigid drill and one hand sawzall for years that I couldn't use. The batteries went bad and when I looked into replacing them it was cheaper to get a new Dewalt drill so they sat in my closet. When I saw this I figured, "Eh, what the hell?" So I got one of these adapters half way expecting to let the smoke out of my old drill. Well, I haven't had any problems. Now when I go to a job with my buddy who doesn't believe in buying tools I can lend him my old rigid instead of him standing around with his hands in his pockets.

Works
I bought this specifically to use my Dewalt 18V battery on my Ridgid cordless shopvac (based on another reviewer's experience). It works perfectly. There is no wiggling once the adapter is attached to the Dewalt battery, and the release mechanism between the adapter and the Ridgid tool feels solid (strong spring is used here). The only downside (1 star) is this adapter is slightly more expensive then other similar adapters.

Works on my 18V NiCd Ridgid tools
Can't say anything about longevity of the product, but I did just use my lithium 20V Dewalt battery and connected it to the adapter, and into a 18V NiCd Ridgid reciprocating saw and it worked just fine. No longer have to deal with dying NiCd batteries when I have a larger set of Dewalt batteries that last much longer. Tried it on a much more forgiving incandescent Ridgid flashlight and it works just fine too (but the recip saw's motion should be a good test, and it connected snug just fine). Well worth the price IMO

So far so good. Works on all my dewalt batteries + ridgid tools. No play great latch system

Works as intended
I recently switched to rigid tools. This adapter works great for my extra Dewalt batteries. It can be a little tight for the 3AH dewalt battery since it’s a little wider, but it works! Solid so far.

Fit and works amazing
Fit perfect on the new HD0318 Rigid vacuum, you can't used 6 amp or biggerbatteries on this vacuum but for every else it is anamazing adapter.

Not much to review here since it works great and haven’t had issues with it. Only used it a handful of times though.
