Perfect for a 2000 Trans Am rear bump stop replacement
I used this as a rear bump stop replacement for a 2000 Trans Am. You have 2 options to make this work, you can get a 1/2" x 1" x 6" long stock of aluminum and drill 2 holes as a spacer, or you can take your old bump top and cut the rubber down and use the remaining 1/2" base as a platform to mount this to. I went the aluminum route. I also originally planned on 2 spacers that way the factory height of the bump stop is maintained, but I also had lowering springs and found the extra 1/2" left only 1/2" of suspension movement. I believe the factory rubber had more give to them, so it may be optimal to use the 1/2" spacer rather than 1". Either way, this works great and so far with new suspension I have only experienced a bottoming out once and it was akin to a new car bottoming out, a soft bump on that side of the suspension for a split second, then everything was back to normal. This a vast improvement to bottoming out and hearing a loud thud.

Not used as advertised, however was rigged for my Colorado.
I own a 2006 Chevy colorado, one rear suspension bumper was completely down to the metal portion of it and the other was falling apart. These weren't advertised as fitting, but the part that does was much more expensive or wouldn't arrive for a month. I used a chainsaw file to grind away just enough for the bolt to fit through. The piece didn't extend far enough to put the other bolt in, so I put a larger washer on and it overlapped the metal of the bumper. These are a bit shorter also, but I don't think it will be a problem.

Fits 4th generation Camaro with rework to brkt holes and trimmed plastic
The vertical flange on the car interfered with mounting this jounce bumper. Had to enlarge mounting holes to outboard side by about 1/8" and used wood rasp to taper plastic to fit. Once mounted it was about 1/4" shorter than OEM bumper. It will take you about an hour to figure out the rework and do it.

Does not fit Jeep ZJ (93-98 Grand Cherokee)
The hole pattern on the bump stop is way to big for the ZJ. Also, I said its incompatible, even though its supposed to be universal and Amazon charged me $5 to ship it back (Bad Amazon....).Does it bother anyone else that all the 5 star ratings are from people mounting the bump stop on Camaros and Trans Ams? Has anyone actually mounted these on a jeep? The center to center distance on the mounting holes is 4.2 inches, if this helps anyone to make the right choice in ordering.

Rear Suspension Sounds and Feels New
Thanks to others reviews I was able to replace these on a 2000 SS the proper way. I wound up buying a grinder at Walmart for $30 but that way I got it done properly. Before putting the stops back I painted the ground metal as others have instructed. Very simple with the right tools and absolutely no more banging. Hardest part was one wheel lock had been torqued to over 150 Ft/lbs but discount tire only took 5 minutes to get it off. Wont mind replacing these in the future, if needed. The old ones were over 17 years old.

Used on rear of 4th gen Camaro
I bought this generic bump stop having read it can be made to fit on the rear of a 4th gen Camaro with some minor modifications to the car. The factory Z28 bump stops used to be around $35 each. They were discontinued for a while, and when they were brought back they were $85.Since my car isn't set up for racing of any kind and carries around 120 pounds of stereo gear in the trunk I figured I'd try these cheap generic polly bushings since my car is just a daily beater. Also my car has been lowered two inches so it hits the bump stops a lot on rough roads. After hacking off a bit of a un needed lip on the inner fender well these stops bolted right on, and so far seem to be working well, and while they are a little more harsh then the originals, it's not too bad.I'd still encourage anyone drag or road racing to go ahead and spend the extra on new factory stops though. Polly bump stops have just about no place on a serious handling car because they are almost always too harsh a hit and upset the chassis and shock the tires.

Great part
A perfect substitute for a part the GM no longer made. I run in to this a lot with my 19 year old sports car. Same mounting holes, size in all dimensions and urethane for extended durability

Can be adapted to fit most any light truck
Best value for a hard to find item . Better than original, and contrary to Amazon's caution, they DO fit my 88 GMC 1500
