Really nice upgrade to the Ford SYNC system.My APIM module stopped working and I found this affordable replacement.This comes completely programed with the additional navigation system installed (which my factory unit didn't include) with the current version of SYNC.Not only does it have several additional screen view options, the backup camera includes a closeup option and looks more high definition and clearer than the factory unit offered.It has crisper and different fonts for the media program and is easy to program phones into the system for the Bluetooth program to operate.All of the factory functions including steering wheel buttons and touch screen work as intended with this replacement unit.If you have never attempted to replace this before I recommend you watch one of the many online videos on how to remove the dash trim and remove the screen to access the APIM. It's fairly simple when you know how the pieces snap into place. This attaches to the back of the screen.Follow the instructions when ordering this as it's necessary to contact the seller with your order number and VIN (vehicle identification number) to have it programmed for your vehicle.

May not work as stated
After specifically asking if this item would for my car I was told yes. When I installed it I found out the the USB hub has to be replaced to work with the newer software. This was a $100 unexpected additional cost. They did offer to take the item back.

Perfect replacement
My APIM went bad (verified by dealer) and I needed a new one. This was a perfect replacement, install wasn’t that bad and it was actually an upgrade to the software I had before, now I have navigation!

Works as It Should Again
I ordered this and installed in my Ford truck. The first one I got worked a few days and then quit. I guess I just got a bad unit. Customer service was very good and they got a new unit to me very quick. I installed it and have been using it for a couple months now with no issue. All my features work just like they should. The layout and colors of the screen are just a little different but no big deal for me. The install is fairly easy if you are familiar with opening the dash. It’s way cheaper to replace a bad module yourself if you are confident enough to do the job.

Worked perfectly. You just need to remember to provide your VIN to the seller after you order. Most people don’t and that’s a mistake.

Chinese Junk
This comes from China, it's not Oem. Refurbished from damaged parts. Gps didn't work at all. There are no maps on it. It worked long enough to show me my location then it froze up.
