Superhero with a difference
Great tale of a gentle super hero that is exposed to the world. really enjoyed it not like any other regular Super hero graphic novels, because this hero is a gentle simple soul, who try to keep his powers to himself. Of course someone exposes him to the rest of the world, and his simple life is no more.I only gave this the 4 stars because the tail does not really end.... and its been out a while and no news of any Huck part 2!

Huck is a gentle soul
Mark Millar is not usually known for his warm-hearted works, although he hasn't written as many either. Huck is one of those few aforementioned warm-hearted books and it was a delight to read. Huck, the titular character, is special. He has abilities which he uses to do at least one good deed a day. While not the brightest individual, he loves to make people happy. That is his joy in life. One day, a new resident to the town alerts the media of Huck and suddenly Huck's life is turned upside down. Rafael Albuquerue, known for illustrating the American Vampire series, delivers top notch artwork for this little gem. He is an artist that is really able to show facial expressions from characters and this allows us to connect with them as a result. This book contains the whole series and while it says on the cover that this is book 1, I severely doubt that there will be a 2nd volume. My reason being that Image is known for doing this with other series that were limited to one book, such as Scott Snyder's Wytches or another of Millar's works, Chrononauts. This isn't a bad thing though, as although it was only a one book series, I didn't feel it felt rushed and concluded poorly (which can be a problem with these kinds of titles).Overall, I would recommend this book. The only other Millar work that I have read that had this sense of heart and warmth to it was Superior. My only complaint is that my copy arrived a little dinged up which is a shame.
