Would be okay for average typers, but for Speedy Gonzalez it hinders ability
Typing is what I do everyday, all day - and then some. Literally.. I'm on the computer a lot! I'm a Web Developer so typing is something that is crucial and my fingers need comforting at times. I have an iMac 27" and I was looking for a gel-type cover to protect my keyboard. Not to protect it from eating, dust or anything of that nature, but more of a "look".I love the way the Macbook Pro keyboards look like, and was expecting "somewhat" of that look. The effort is there, but the final result really didn't do it for me. I didn't have any issues with the shipping or anything - out of all the items I've purchased I've only had an issue with 1 shipment but that was expected, it came from China.I type about 115 WPM so I'm all about improving speed and quality of my typing. This skin cover just really didn't do it for me at all, it would hinder my ability to type. I'm sure for someone who types the average of 30-40 WPM it may work just fine for them, but it just wasn't my thing.I ended up giving the Black IVEA Silicone skin cover to my daughter who loves it on her Macbook 13". She's only 10, and think any accessory is just the BOMB!

great for Logic, Pro-tools, Photoshop....users
I was in the market for one of those keyboard that have all the shortcuts listed on them for Logic Pro, but they are crazy expensive. Not to mention I wouldn't want it as an everyday keyboard. They also have covers that have the printed Logic keys on them that you could place on the keyboard as well. Definitely a cheaper option, but still....not good enough for me.Solution...I bought one of these low priced covers for 3 bucks (including the shipping), went n eBay and found some Logic Pro Keyboard stickers and instead of placing the sticker on the actual keyboard and ruining it, I placed them on this cover. Now I have a Logic Pro shortcut keyboard and also have the option to simply peel it off for everyday use.Works perfect! The reason I gave it 4 stars is because it does seem to move around a little bit. But when I am using logic I am not typing out paragraphs, so there really isn't too much movement on my part other than clicking a few keys here and there.By the way, they sell the same type of stickers on Amazon as well for Logic and other software such as Ableton, Photoshop, Pro-Tools and a few other programs. I just liked the style of the one I found on eBay better, but price wise, they were about the same.Overall cost after the stickers and this cover was about 10 bucks, as opposed to the actual Logic Keyboard Pro selling for $130, or KB Covers Logic pro Cover for $35.I recommend for the same purpose I used it for. Otherwise, if I was planning on writing a novel, I don't think I would use this because it does seem to hinder your typing speed.

You get what you pay for. Should not expect too much when you pay less than $2
I used to have a $20 Apple keyboard cover. It had a perfect and seamless fit to the keyboard. It was very comfortable using it.Although the IVEA Silicone skin cover does cover all the keys, it neither fully covers the keyboard nor has a tight fit. The skin does not cover the upper part curved area of the keyboard at all (where the batteries are).In terms of fit, the skin is too tight that Caps lock, shift, fn, control, option, and command keys (all on the left side) do not nicely fit. As a result, when you press these keys, you will feel that there is a gap between the keyboard and skin, leaving a uncomfortable feeling. It almost makes it feel likes I am using a very cheap non-apple keyboard and slows down typing.Another problem is that the silicone is not soft, smooth or thin, especially round edges of each key. Since the edges are rather hard, I have to press each key harder with the skin on. Typing could become less accurate with the skin on.However, for the price, I can live with all negative aspects of this skin. You get what you pay for.** The price includes shipping. Unfortunately, the shipping is slow and unreliable, although the seller seems to try hard to make it fast and reliable, which I appreciate. I had to contact the seller because I did not receive my order on time. The seller had to re-send my order via DHL at no extra cost. But it still took another 5 days to be delivered after having waited about 2 weeks for the first undelivered order.
