Picture of Dorian Gray (Deluxe Hardbound Edition) , The (Fingerprint! Classics)

Such a beautiful book, I’ve been watching a handful of shows recently and they all have Dorian gray references or him playing a part so I was curious who he was. The book is gorgeous, from the cover to the pages. I’m only 4 chapters in, but so far it is a great read!

A timeless classic that surely created a stir when first published! While I struggled now with the more dated, lengthy dialog and often leisurely pacing, it is hard not to love this story and the many messages that can be discovered within. I find myself pausing often to reflect on society and the superficial standards placed on beauty and youth. That power these elements still hold in today's world. An issue that is still very relevant.

Very interesting book my daughter loved it

This is a lovely book. It’s solid, and true to the pictures. The only thing that bothers me is the barcode that was printed into it, which isn’t in the picture. I wish that had been a sticker I could take off. The gold on the pages will leave your hands slightly shiny, but that doesn’t bother me. The pages are thin and may stick together at first, similar to bible pages, so they may not he the best for annotating if that is your plan. Overall I am very satisfied.

This is one of my favorite classics. I have a variety of copies. This one is absolutely beautiful.

Overall, I'm happy with the book. The front and back covers are vibrant, the spine is sturdy and well made. The pages are a bit thin, but it doesn't effect the quality of the print. Only real complaint I have is the UPC on the back cover. None of the reference photos have it. I would have preferred it was on the inside. Aside from that, great buy.

It has an almost magical quality of pulling the reader in, even in today’s world of fast entertainment, this book is able to immediately pull the reader in and gain your attention. I look forward to reading all of Oscar’s works, and I hope others will pick up his works and give them a read too!

I remember this was the first book I bought by fingerprints publishing and I was absolutely blown away! Nowadays I've moved onto less prominent and more costlier publishers (Everyman's Library my sweetheart). But I'll recommend Fingerprints for anyone who is searching for peak quality from Rs. 300 to 1k price range. The cover itself is great, and the printing inside is a bit cheaper feeling but it's still good nonetheless. The content of course is peak, only expected of Wilde!
