Synthetic Drone Reed Set

If you haven't tried ezeedrones in your pipes, then you don't know what you're missing. They work very well in almost every pipe I've put them in, and I own a lot of pipes!! They seem to be the "go to" drone reeds!

At first I loved these reeds - I could put my pipes away for a week, and the reeds started smoothly and played well, taking the normal amount of air. When I left them for six months, they became so cranky I thought I had my old cane reeds in the pipes. No amount of fiddling corrected the squealing start and the double-tone bass. I'm going to have to look elsewhere.

Ezeedrones are OK synthetic reeds, but don't have the harmonics and full, rich tone as some of the other choices in drone reeds. The Ezeedrone tenors have a very warm mellow sound. The bass leaves a lot to be desired. It's weak and shallow. Still a good drone reed set for beginners, but intermediate to professionals will probably want to swap the bass drone reed with another make to improve the sound of their bass drone.

Play well, keep tune. Rubber sleeve on base drone too thick for my Hardie pipes but works with hemp. Screw tuning works.
