Great little hammer
I've always enjoyed Tekton tools since I was introduced to them about 10 years ago. I was really impressed with their quality, and their warranty policy is tough to beat. Since then, I've replaced many of my hand tools with Tekton products, but this is the first hammer I've bought from them and the first dead blow hammer I've owned. I've been using this hammer mostly in woodworking projects. At 21 oz, its pretty light and the dead blow attribute allows me to tap project pieces together without damaging the wood. I did notice that the handle can be a little slick if my hands are wet, but taping the handle, like a baseball bat or hockey stick, cures the slickness. Overall, I really like this hammer and it has been a great addition to my tool collection. I can now get the other sizes with confidence.

works well on mating wood together
I use mine for woodworking. They give the project that extra push when assembling. No marks or scars from the rubber either. Good dead blows.

Excellent
Solid build, tough and made in the USA - however, the grip is a little slippery in my opinion but some grip tape and it works perfect in my greasy hands…

Decent for the price
Material is extremely slick, so be careful swinging it if your hands are oily. Looks similar to Mac brand

Good for striking metal
I make and cut clear ice as a hobby and I needed a hammer that would let me apply force to various ice-cold metal tools without shattering the metal and getting me hurt. Basically I needed a dead blow hammer. This dead blow hammer delivers a soft blow without metal-on-metal collisions that can be so dangerous. The grip is excellent, which is important for wet hands. I'm very happy with this tool.

Good American made dead blow hammer.
I have a lot of Stanley hammers that have started to chip with age. Thought I’d try this American made brand. I prefer American made tools and this Michigan based company has a website where you can ask for replacements. I’ve had great service with Tekton so far. I have no problem giving this company a reference.

Awesome deadblow
I use this for construction/masonry work and it has held up great so far, i do not see this tool failing from beating on stones anytime soon like the estwing ones do.

This is a superior hammer
I use dead blow hammers in my job frequently. I told myself that I will never buy another Chinese one after the awful quality of the one I was replacing, which literally broke in day one. This one is solid, well-designed and you will not go wrong getting one.

Good quality.
This look’s to be sturdy but for the price ($62) I think I will stick with buying the 3 piece set from princess auto at around $20. Plus you you can’t beat they’re warranty.
