About 18”, I have not measured it. The dimensions are in the specifications.

Q: What’s the recommended distance above plants the light should be installed at?

That’s a difficult question to answer because it depends on what type of plant you have. I have mine on baby (2” pots) orchids and African violets but neither do well with a lot of direct light. Lights are at about 12” from the plants but also intensity is turned down about 2 clicks…6-8 hours a day.

Q: How much does it cost to run per month?

It's 20 watts per lamp which comes out to 175 kilowatt hours (KWh) for 24 hr use 365 days. Take 175 and multiply that by your KWh rate to find your yearly cost. For example, if you pay 10 cents per KWh you would pay $17.50 for a year.
