I started using this brand about a year ago for my dry brittle frizzy hair. It has completely changed my hair and body. No longer am I dry and frizzy. All products are organic non-GMO. They even have a lotion with zero alcohol in it. If you're looking to vote by putting your money to good work...this is one company you should have at the top of your list. Shea Moisture is vegan and sustainably resourced, and for every purchase a generous percentage is paid back to charity. Sometimes you feel you have no power. But we all have the power to Vote with our money by the products we buy. No more big box chain stores and big pharma. This is a family owned buisiness that was established in the last century. A mom from long ago created the formulas and I have them all. I won't use anything but this for all the reasons listed above. FYI the pumps don’t work because butters are thick. And because cocoa butter are waxy in nature, wherever you place the stick of the pump, it pierces to the bottom and creates an empty hole, that’s why nothing comes out. So when buying or producing a product know the nature of the ingredients. Overall I love this product I’ve been looking for a cocoa butter cream that’s free of extra ingredients like coconut oil and free of Parabens and fragrance. I was also looking for a Shea butter mixed cream with vitamin E, and this product has it all!! It works very well with my skin very softening and absorbent. It drastically reduced the inflammation on skin like the little bumps, since Cocoa butter has anti inflammatory properties. Please Shea Moisture never discontinue this product and if you do I will cry 😂🥺😂 and also thanks for not adding additional wax in the ingredients it would have caused a drastic white film, that won’t penetrate or be absorbed quickly, like the Tammanu oil lotion. I literally could on about this product, but I also like that it had very minimal ingredients and the star ingredient was the second listing, so that was great and only necessary ingredients that needed to be there. Overall great product please don’t change the formula.

Yes it is gritty, it is natural Shea butter and can separate in heat. This doesn’t bother me at all. I’ve used it my whole pregnancy and it has been amazing. I also use it in my son who has extremely dry/eczema prone skin.

Pump doesn't work :( and no safety seal. Lotion itself is nice.

This was a disappointing purchase. The product is very thick and crumbles onto the skin. It’s very difficult to rib it into/onto the skin.
