Unfortunately it's hard to say. It's possible this product is made of mixed plastics, which typically is not recyclable in the US since some plastics are more difficult to recycle than others. I would be leery of putting these in your curbside recycling, but you could try the Terracycle website, that's what I plan on doing though it's going to take some time to get in enough products to send in. To Jordan: people are asking what number plastics these are made of because in the USA most things have a number indicating the type of plastic. This is important because not all cities take all plastics for recycling. Mixed plastics are especially difficult to recycle.

How long until they need to be replaced?

Hello, That is something personal that will depend on how often you use your toothbrush. The general recommendation is to change the toothbrush, at least, 4 times per year (or after being sick). Anyways, a good indicator is the bristles status. If the head of the brush point in all sorts of directions your toothbrush won’t have the same cleaning effect on your teeth as if it was new. Thats a good moment to change it for a new one. Regards.
