These are a great value and seem to have the type of construction that will outlast your hobby. Nice patterns, and the elastic design helps secure the sock by anchoring it to the back of the reel.

Kinda hard to discern what the tactile features of these are from the online description. I'll give it a shot.Material is a tough mesh, slightly tighter weave than window screen and closed at one end; the open end allows for the rest of the rod/handle to protrude from. An elastic cord and plastic keeper is at that end for looping around the handle for retention.Each sleeve is a different color and/or pattern to help in identification.Our boat doesn't have rod holders in storage and so traveling loose under the deck will definitely improve with no guides to hang up on each other. I expect the open weave of the mesh will be an improvement over a semi-solid rod holder (tube) as far as keeping moisture from building up.The price is great especially if you don't have to have 'logo' sleeves. I've found that even without the manufacturers' trademarks on things, you can generally get same or better quality for a LOT less!

I would like to see longer sleeves for 7.5' to 8' tuna rail rods

I've been transporting 20+ rods for my wife and myself a lot lately, got a pair of these as a gift and suddenly wondered why I hadn't gotten them years ago. Have since ordered another 2 dozen. They not only do a fantastic job of protecting the guides in transportation and keeping them from getting tangled, a further benefit is the ease with which I can slide my rods in and out of the rod locker in the floor of the boat. This is particularly noticeable with the bottom holes, which have always been a problem for sliding the guides in and out. I like the elastic band at the bottom (for hooking around the reel handle), and there are plenty of color options for identifying different rods as well. Note that this particular model in my opinion is a little too long for a 6' rod, but it nicely protects anything from 6-6 to 7-6+. Beware, there is another brand on Amazon that did not accurately represent the size of the opening and would not fit over the larger bottom guides on several of my spinning rods. This brand fits them perfectly. 5 stars all day.

Sleeves work well on spinning or casting rods. Holes are large enough and the material is flexible enough that if you have an exposed hook get through it is super easy to come out.

Very quick service and inexpensive - great product

I was a bit leery about buy theses for the spinning rod. I heard so many complain about the large guide near the reel not going in. As soon as these arrived today, I opened it up and tried it on my new Abu ike rod. It is a 7'6" rod. It is a tab shorter then I was hoping, but fits great overall. I think with time, the material will stretch and form over the last guide. Especially ones its been in the hot sun for awhile. Now not all spinning rods are the same, nor are the guides. Some have a bit larger guide and some may be a bit smaller. Over all, the product is great.

So, I ordered these early December and Amazon told me they would show up at my place until 3 Jan. I was unsatisfied with that so a couple of days later I selected return/cancel. The seller contacted me and asked me what was up so we exchanged emails back and forth. They were very polite and professional at all time.Anyways, this product showed up today along with a "gift" tag from Amazon. Awesome.This product looks wicked. It's well put together and rugged and can't wait to test them out. Hard water season is a little slow coming this winter.
