I live and ride in New Mexico, where it's dry and hot for 7-8 months of the year. This vest works! With our low humidity and high evaporation rate, this vest is almost cold in the morning and, when I take a break 2 hours later, I have a 1 gallon Ziplock bag with 8 oz of water to recharge it for another 2 hours. It helps make the "road blast" of afternoon temperatures in the 110 -114 range tolerable for me, 2 hours at a time. By then I need fuel and a stretch, so the timing works out. I wear a polyester "active" tee shirt (with or without sleeves) then the Cooling vest (for men), then a light shirt under my mesh jacket. I said the Cooling vest "for men" because I tried one first. The one I bought for my wife was a known winner and keeps us riding together. Now to get her some heated gear...

Gave as a gift to someone with MS.

I wish I had ordered XL instead of L. It is very small for a large size.
