I bought these during Prime Day for $11. I thought why not try them out? I am so glad I did. What initially attracted me to them was the advertised feature that I could wear them at night to reduce glare. I was skeptical of this actually working for me, but at $11, why not give it a try.I will no longer want to wear the standard set of sunglasses with a fixed level of "darkness" because the photochromic feature is just so good. If it wasn't for the physical sensation of the glasses on my face, at times I would forget I'm wearing sunglasses just because everything looks appropriately bright without any glare. It's really quite wonderful. The antiglare effect is noticeable right away. Looking at my neighbor's car across the street, for example, it's an odd experience at first because without the glare I can see the color of his car and details about it so much more clearly. These sunglasses help you see a lot more detail and that's great. Also during cloudy days, they still take all the glare out but they aren't nearly as dark. In the same situation I would likely have taken off a standard set of sunglasses and, therefore, my eyes are unprotected from UV light.Do they reduce glare at night, like that of oncoming headlights, as advertised? Maybe? It's really hard to tell. I don't think the photochromic feature is reactive enough to really do that. But the reason why I don't use them at night is they dim my entire field of view enough that details not well lit by headlights or streetlights are darkened enough that I might not see, for example, a cat or dog about to run out into the street. Everything is darker wearing these at night. I'll take headlight glare over that any night.A con that annoys me is that I frequently have to adjust their "tightness" about my head. They frequently loosen up and so they'll be liable to fall off. I can bend them in the middle to make them tighter, but I wonder how long they'll let me do that before they break. If I don't, though, they become unwearable. I did get a lanyard for them for when I'm hiking and get sweaty.Would I buy these again? Absolutely. I recommend you try them and I hope you're as pleased as I am about their daytime performance. However, with the con mentioned above I will also shop for alternatives and would gladly pay more than $11 this time.

I recently visited my eye doctor because of my declining night time vision, and was informed that it was because because I have small cataracts... not big enough to require surgery, but large enough to skew my vision at night in regard to glare. So I came home and immediately started researching. What I found out after much research, is that those yellow colored "night vision glasses" really only help with the bright blue headlight glare, but would not do anything for amber glare... (which is why so many people give them bad reviews, I think), plus they can actually reduce nighttime vision as well. It was recommended that if you wear glasses for vision, to have them made polarized, and that would help with night time glare. Well, my vision is otherwise normal (day time), and don't wear glasses, so I started looking for night vision clear polarized gasses and found these. All can says is WOW, and that I am very glad I did my research, (because I was first looking at yellow night time glasses). These clear polarized glasses have made a HUGE difference in my ability to drive safer at night. My vision had actually gotten to the point that I stopped driving at night, unless it was an emergency, but now I am much more confident with night-time driving. They significantly have reduced the glare factor, even when raining. They are very comfortable, and I forget they are on my face lol. In addition, they make great daytime sunglasses as well. Definitely 100% happy with my purchase and thinking of buying another pair to keep in my other vehicle.

The pair shipped to me do not darken, AT ALL, in ANY kind of light, they are the same at night, mid-day, indoors and out, whenever, and the sunlight blocking ability is far too mild for Hawaiian daylight conditions. In summary, they are worthless.

I bought these because I have an early morning commute driving into direct sunlight that is literally quite blinding, and to say driving in these conditions is dangerous is an understatement. I put these on and these literally cut through the glare to where I can see enough to drive safely....completely awesome.

I got these for night driving and they work fine but if I use them during the day and it's sunny out, they do not get darker. They are very wide and fit kinda strange. Not worth sending back since I only use them at night, but if you want these for the changing feature, don't bother

Well I've had them for few days now to see how the worked...OMG I'm in love with these glasses! My eyes are super light sensitive and so far they are great! Only thing I've not been able to check,is when sun is right at you big and bright. But regular day time driving they are perfect...and night time driving is a huge difference I'm not being blinded like I was. Plan on buying again for family.

Bought for hubby and now getting me a pair. Love the style, the fit and not too dark for driving. Almost perfect. Highly recommend.
