I immediately teared up when I read this book. It is perfect for a young one new to diabetes. I purchased this for a friend's son shortly after his diagnosis. I really liked the story.

My daughter got diagnosed 4 years ago when she 3 years old and we have been through dozens of diabetes books. This one blows the others out of the water!! I wish it could be distributed to children newly diagnosed in the hospital. It’s the BEST and exactly the right message. So empowering and none of the cringe that I find in all the others. Seriously, it is a must buy if you have a type 1 at home and bonus points if they happen to love super heroes.

I purchased this book for our newly diagnosed 4 year old grandson. We both love the book but especially Billy. It’s great that he can relate to the main character and not feel so alone with his diagnosis. We love Sammy and can’t wait for more books.
